You know, I was just noticing something, eVGA's step-up program has really started to suck for the consumers.
Basically, you can only step-up cards with lifetime warranties. Well the only cards eVGA has sold recently with lifetime warranties has been the GTX200 series. Not even the GTS250 is available with a lifetime warranty!
Then, the only cards available in the step up program are:
GeForce GTX 295 CO-OP Edition
GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 - 55nm
GeForce GTS 250
GeForce 9800 GT
GeForce 9600GT Low Power
GeForce 9500 GT
But the only cards eligable are the GTX200 series...
What does that mean? Well, it basically means that you have one option to step-up, the overly expensive GTX295! You aren't going to downgrade in a step-up(especially not since eVGA doesn't give a refund if you do...).
Where is the GTX275 and GTX285? It seems stupid to me that only the GTX295 is available. It basically makes the step-up program completely useless. Why even have it, if that is the only option?
