NVIDIA G210/GT220 now for sale, and more 40nm GPUs on the way?

If you care (or most likely don't care) about these budget graphics cards, here they are:

These are NVIDIA's newest parts, both the only 40nm/Dx10.1 cards currently available from the green camp. :cool:

On a more important note, NVIDIA's 3rd OEM GPU has just appeared on their website: the GTS240. Looks like the 40nm/DX10.1 successor to the 9800GT.

At least NVIDIA is (re)naming them in a more understandable way: G = super low end, GT = low end, GTS = mid-range, GTX = humongous. :toast:

I don know what it is either, probably a typo but the GT240 might just only be a rumor because theres already a GTS240 and there could be mixups between the GT240 and GTS240

I realized that, on the Wikipedia page that I referenced, the GTS 240 was listed as 55nm, but with DX10.1. I wonder how they could do 10.1 on a G92b, unless it's a typo? :confused:

yes nvidia need 10.1 for win7 aero ,OEMs will ship these gpus whit pcs win7 aero compatible logos on them

No they don't, Win7 Aero works just fine on DX9 GPUs...

The only issue that I have with your sources is that they are from late 2008 to March 2009. It's mid-October now, but you never know if MS scrapped the idea. Many things can change from Beta-->RC-->RTM. I will deem it plausible for there to be DX10.1 Aero, but I won't take it as fact yet.

Aero does work on DX9 cards in 7, I even had it enabled with my old X1650Pro when I was RMA'ing my card in beta, 7 supports DX9,10,10.1 and 11 via compute shaders, but my old 9600 won't, its a game of chance really
