I like how the used ones cost 229x more than the new, 1 cent HDMI cables.

It's just a massive overstock of a cheap cable.. Honestly with Digital it doesn't make "as" much of a difference, but you can generally pickup cables slightly higher grade than these for around $5-$10 same length and a lot of times free shipping.

Cool find though.

Well, I ordered one so we'll see. They are making their profit off the shipping and handling.

The statement is about as accurate as saying SATA or USB cables are digital and the quality doesnt matter. It does. The "fail point" due to interference or cable length is much shorter. There is plenty of error-correction going on in digital equipment. It will kick in earlier, or just not work, with cheaper cables.

If you have a short length single cable with NO possibility of interference, I agree, just use cheap.

But if you want to have a long cable run, with power lines and other digital lines in close proximity (or knotted! LOL) around the cable, then get higher quality shielded cables.

It still makes a good difference. Especially in longer runs.

Don't worry it's a very common mistake to think Digital data isn't susceptible to distortion and interference.

The single largest factor to come into play is Jitter and multi conductor timing.

Not enough for a grand majority to really care or sometimes even notice.
You don't really know unless you have heard / seen it better before is the issue.

2- sell them at 500x their real value to friends and co-workers
3- ???
4- PROFIT!

Sounds about right

Its a quality cable as far as I can tell. But of course the shipping is kind of expensive if you check it out in the check out process. Its just like ebay auctions that charge $45 shipping on an item thats $0.01 and its a $40 "value" new product.

I ordered 10 and it came to ~$2.50 each for shipping. Still... 10 HDMI cables for the price of one ain't too shabby.

Ima gonna HDMI the shit outta somethin'!

yeah in longer runs of course... how far are you putting your blueray from your tv anyways?... hell even optical needs a repeater in longer runs... but a standard length HDMI cable that you pick up for a few £'s versus a £100 version... bah... screw me if im paying that ;) I have no issues running blueray on my sammy 1080p or my 1080p sony camcorder both on HDMI
