I m planning to buy a new ATI HD5850 for my system.but I hv got confused abt MSI R5850 and Sapphire HD5850..Which one is better in performance,service,give me your opinion??

i have never dealt with Sapphire, but MSI does have good service. RMA times are quick - once an item gets to MSI, it usually takes about a week for them to send it back or another one to you(which is very good imo). they also have food, and friendly, tech support.

Performance and Quality wise, all 5850 as of now are 100% identical.
All BBA aka Built by Ati.
I will say get the whatever that is cheaper.

TBH I hate the ugly sapphire girl on my card, but the bundle came with Dirt2 so I forgave them

As Zabusa said they're all the same, so consider the price/bundle/warranty.

I have had both an MSI 4870 (512MB) and now have 2 Sapphire 4870 (1GB)'s and I like the Sapphires more.I like the design. I like the packaging and the support. I LOVE MSI mobo's, but +1 for sapphire.

no clue if msi got that
and all 5850/5870 are the exact same atm, comes from the same factory just diffrent bundles

Sapphire. But to be honest wait until the vapor-x version comes out, it should run between 10 and 20c cooler than the reference card if it is comparable with 4870 vapor-x cards in temp. That alone gives sapphire the edge, same performance not as much heat, better OC potential.

well vapor-x version are good except that it dumps some of the heat back int the case

GPU runs cooler but other components higher. but its no biggy if you have good case cooling

If you can get a 5850 now get it as they are still in limited supply.

Not sure if its still the case but Sapphire used to actually build some of the BBA cards for ATI.
