Dang, here we go again.... :)

What happened to "It's easy to add Dx11 support to Gx200,...bla bla....not worth it" and the easy scalability of Fermi?

It's in the specs = DX10.1 - so when they talk about bringing all the features of Windows 7 - they are lying.

I honestly don't know why they are bothering with this.

They want to have a unified product line, Something they've lacked with the last series...you had the low 9300/9400 mid 9600/9800 and the high 260/280 quite confusing for uneducated consumers. In a sick and twisted way it is beneficial for the consumer, just like intel's i3/5/7 lineup

Except the 310 use DDR2 and the 210 uses DDR3...and ATi has NEVER rebranded a lower end card with less capabilities to a low end card of a new generation that is supposed to have more capabilities...

Sick and twisted is right! It's a unified naming structure - but it's debatable whether it's good for the customer. Personally I don't see a problem with Nvidia having a 9000 series and a 200 series because the two were (originally) based on different GPUs. They could have dropped the 9000 series and they'd be left with 200 series and 300 series - quite simple for the consumer (this GT310 is OEM anyway). Now Nvidia will have a complete 300 series but some parts will be DX10.1, some DX11. Some based on a new GPU, some will be years old. :twitch:

Meh, whatever. I just wish they'd hurry up with the high-end gear so that we have a bit of choice.
