Hi there, I'm currently using Athlon 64 X2 6000+ (2MB L2) with ASUS M2NPV-MX (nVDIA 6150 + SB430) & Sparkle 9400GT (1GB DDR2). So the motherboard is very old one & need an upgrade for sure, though, there's CPU upgrade required as well but that's just not enough room for that in my current budget. For my choices at the moment are, NVIDIA's 8100, 8200 & 720D. And for AMD 760G & 785G. Please suggest me best & also, explain differences these chipsets can make. THANX!

personally, I'd look for a AMD 790 chipset motherboard. They seem to give the best results with OC'ing the newer AMD processors, which should be your next upgrade.

Just looking for few boards here, & found this one from BIOSTAR's TF720 A2+. Is it any good over my previous choices?

What are your uses for your computer? Do you plan on running dual video cards in the future? What is your video card preference, nvidia or ATI? Do you plan on doing any over-clocking?

Well something that I should've mentioned earlier, anyway, I use AutoCAD 2004, Net surfing & Gaming (About an hour OR two @ most per day) + running BitDefender Internet Security on Windows Xp Pro. SP3.

Seriously No, cause I simply can't afford them in pairs. As I said, I'm look'n for a budget upgrade only for motherboard. Though, I'm planning to advanced after 2010 when DDR3 will be norm & cheap too. Till I need some good suggestion on choosing either nVIDIA's 8100 / 720A OR AMD's 785G. If AMD is out of reach then should I go for nVIDIA's 720A, It has the same GeForce 8100 IGP + nForce 720A Chipset, as I posted the link earlier.

well if your not gonna run dual video cards in your system, and your not OC'ing any, just about any motherboard would do what you want. Personally, I'd go with a 785g board(mostly because it's the newest chipset out of the options you listed)

This would be my recommendation- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128395

Thanx for the suggestions & providing your valuable time for this thread mate. I'm sure my local vendor has this board for me. Otherwise, I'll have to settle for Biostar A785GE, which is much cheaper & has better OC ability too (If I ever going to need it!).
