I've just finished upgrading my brother's pc - essentially rebuilt it since I replaced mobo, a 2Ghz single core AMD, and 1GB RAM with anothor mobo, an AMD 5000 BE and 3GB RAM.
Well, everything works so far (I'll make a thread with photos later).
I have to reinstall XP so I couldn't run realtemp. I'm installing XP at this precise moment.
While in the bios I checked the hardware monitor and the cpu temperature was reading at 42 degrees
This is only my second build in 2 years... so I don't have much experience.
Should I give time for the paste to 'settle' and perhaps the temperature would go lower?
I wasn't planning to OC, at least for now, since the stock speed of the 5000 is good enough for my brother's gaming requirements.
