Ordering parts one at a time?

I am thinking about slowly moving up to maybe a Core i5/i7 build, but i was thinking, instead of ordering it all at once, do you think it would be a good idea to just order one part at a time?. It will take more time, but i won't feel as tho im breaking the back much by buying each part at separate times, it will also allow me to get more higher end parts more easily, plus since i use a PO box address to get my mail/packages it would help in that area to(considering you are unable to send big boxes to most PO box addresses, including mine)

Go for it. What sucks is having to sit there and look at the awesomeness the hardware beholds and not being able to do anything with it .

as long as u do it fairly fast so rma and things like that are still valid

If you can test each part out as it arrives, ok.

But you're still not going to be sure that it works with the parts that haven't arrived yet.

If you're buying from somewhere like Newegg, and you have a problem after the 30 days (or whatever the limited timeframe is) then they'll make you RMA it to the company, which could take considerably longer.

I feel what you wallet is asking, but here is my take.

Buy it all at once is my advice.

If you buy it a piece at a time over a couple months you may regret purchases along the way. Just buy the best your money can buy at one time and clock the piss out of it

+1 on saving up and buying all at once, you'll enjoy it for sure when you get it.

Guess you could start with an i5 cpu and save up next for board/ram, then gpu,then the rest.

Also it's just going to be for the CPU, Mobo and RAM. I'm keeping using everything else i currently have.

I have horrendous cpu bottleneck lol.

You'll end up with not-so-well researched stuff thinking it's good. Give all the parts an equal amount of time to think out.

I know what is this, you just can`t wait . You will just pay more now than what would cost when the new PC would be assembled. I just can`t think any pross that would came up from this. But I know how you feel .
