Crysis 2 screenshots and details

Interesting new things in Crysis 2.

-Will be set mostly in New York but also other locations
-New nanosuit abilites and customizations upgrading during missions ( Armor, Power, Tactical and Infiltration )
-Free big roaming missions requires investigation and you can decide how to go from point A to B, you can mark a location and follow the directions on the map to get there.
-Climb gameplay ... ( know what )
-Addition to the military there will be a third faction to hamper it. ( Perhaps a faction of researchers who are looking to discover the potential alien ) my opinion...

sure, say that these images are taken from a version xbox360 is already considered one of the best graphics game of 2010 especially now we will see even on the consoles.

I expect a boom in sales of graphics cards and gaming PC after the release of the game. i7 and DX11 open your wallets whuuuuu.

Looking forward to this. A lot of people slated Crysis 1's story and gameplay.... whereas I actually liked it.

Any know if Crysis 2 will be following up on the origional storyline?

proof? does the magazine article they're scanned from say that?

They look like renders/artists impressions to me.

For example: the ground looks awesome in crysis, the leaf matter and vegetation looked awesome. In these screenshots, its basically ignored and looks like crap. So either they've changed their style massively, or these arent in game footage.

I agree that the ( except 1-4 footage) are renders artists images wich are made for the magazine.

I think you not recognize the fact that in-game footage appear more defined with more color and less blurred and rounded than renderized images or scenes. In some cases also due to strong colors appear less realistic and therefore presumed to scenes in the game.

For me the two that i have mentioned are real in game, so let see what others say...

another thing: look at that first screenshot, and look for jaggies ANYWHERE. There simply isnt any - which means its a render.

Look at the bin, its got a 'perfect' edge (compression artifacts aside) - even those holes/gaps have perfect edges.

The article features a short interview with Executive Producer Nathan Camarillo as well as two screenshots from the game. The article states an Oct-Dec 2010 release date for Crysis 2.

Its supposed to be much more optimised than crysis 1 so you should be able to get it looking nice with over 30fps.

if those are ingame screens you can max this game out and still get 60+ FPS and you can thank consoles for that "achievement"

IMO, they may well be screenshots from the game engine - but they were either software rendered (hence no jaggies), or touched up in photoshop before being printed.

Phew till I can afford a system that can run Crysis 2 maxed out, a few summers will pass. IF its the same like Crysis back then where nobody could play it.

ive just noticed in the video on your page around 1.25 a helicopter drops of some troops then takes of turns left stops in mid air(rotors stop spinning) and disapears. Any1 else notice that?
edit: ohhhh that video is warhead not crysis 2?

As long as it doesn't force me to buy another gpu, i'm fine with it. Heck I even played the first on a 8600gt @ 1024 but on med to high. Had a 17" at the time anyway.
