Overclock apparently not stable ...

this is what i got for my 24/7 OC
12 hours prime stable ...
OCCT Passed

fired up MW2 loaded a map ran 2 feet ... BAM complete lock up ... i did just install the driver for the card 20 minutes before ...

it seemed kinda fast for a crash on a system that is prime stable for that long though ....

what should i check first?

You got the last version of Prime95? (P64v259)

Also when i test for stability i always run many softwares , i run a few 3dmark , occt , superPI etc...

whoops forgot about OCCT .. it passed that ... ummm i should have that P95 version lemme double check

Could be the memory. Looks like it's overclocked but has the same timings and using 1T command rate, might have to go 2T. Or push 1.7+ volts.

I like to use LinX instead of OCCT for Linpack testing. Much more customizable and starts immediately.

so far seems to work ... played about 10 minutes of MW2 to check and ran flawlessly instead of locking up 2 steps into a map ...

changed command rate to 2T
knocked down my blck and raised the multi ...


going to run P95 and others just to make sure ... but i am thinking its real close to being solved ...

ya i guess we should find out later today ... ill run p95 for about 8 hours or so ... since it was already stable with it before ...

then game a few hours straight tonight and see how it does there ...

BTW: It would be a good thing to fill up your System Specs , so we won't have to ask you what you got as a PC next time you run in to problems , if any?

yep games for a long time today/tonight and no crashing so about 95% sure the problem is fixed ... i will keep testing over the next couple days just to make sure though

I'm pretty sure you'll be alright , 1T was to tight for overclock Ram & you won't see any difference between 1T & 2T command anyways... maybe a few points in benchmarks & superPI but that's all.
