If I were to sell the system listed in my specs to the right, minus the 19 inch screen (it's base is broken so I'd just keep it), how much should I ask for? My best guess places the total investment into the system well over $1600, but I already know I will never get that out of it.

I think Ion's estimate is close, although I do not see it likely for you to get that amount. The hardware is relatively dated, but you seem to already understand that you will loose money on the sale.

A lot of people are not willing to pay a premium for that monitor. I know that Planar is an upper echelon LCD manufacturer, but many people will opt for something the same size but cheaper.

Probably best to part it out.

I'm not the best at saying things outright, but I was thinking that your system doesn't really look appetizing. Parting it out would make it look much better.

total cost if i were to take the case and all it's contents off your hands. I probbaly wouldn't pay but about $350 and thats because your GPU is new.

If everything was immaculate inside and wire management was outstanding and the case and all componets were shiny and dust free then I could probably be talked into paying $50-75 more but that's because I can be sucka sometimes.

You'd get a good amount more for your system if you parted it out -- most people on here aren't looking for a pre-rolled system, they'd rather build it themselves.

just my 2 cents.

Brutally speaking, not much. perhaps 400 total plus LCD monitor.
