Hackers n cheats on line gaming ;(

Hi,

Just wanted 2 no whats you views on players hacking and cheating multiplayer games,
i,ve been playing multipayer games now for just the past 4 mouths.
i.e f.e.a.r v107/cod/cod4/quake 3/quake 4/terrorist takedown 2....and so on,
and its come as a surprise 2 me the amount of people that hack the games with,
Aiming bot wall hacks.
for instantance i was playing f.e.a.r last night and was standing right next 2 one player,
and shot him with a full clip 30 rounds striaght in him at piont blank range.
And hes still standing
all so i palyed cod 2 day and one player in the game was walking on water,
My piont 2 this rant is why must game players come dawn 2 this in multiplayer games,
Are people that rubbish at playing games 2 day there need the cheats and aiming bot and wall hacks.?

A: They suck
B: It annoys everyone
C: They think everyone else is hacking

I personally HATE I'd delve further into how much it annoys me but then we'd have a novel in a post. It ruins a good night for me but it's a fact of life and I just move on from that server.

Usually it's someone older than 12 if they are 12 they're usually spouting off insults and talking about how good they are.

the only game so far i like was cod 4 on one server i played on just booted the hackers striagth,
from the game and baned them for life was useing punk buster that server and good admin,

They are just douches. No matter how you break it down, they are just being stupid to piss people off. While most servers will not ban you, Punk Buster will kick you from every game once the cheat is identified and if an admin sees you have like 30 kills and no deaths, you may be kicked. I say ban the idiot and just roll with it. There are millions of other players, we can live without the possibility of that guy coming back to the server.

P.S. You should come play BFBC2 with us. You can walk on water too......frozen water that is.

It is very annoying - aimbots in particular. The best one I saw was on the xbox 360 during a live game of Quantum Of Solace. Someone had a character who could fly, had every single weapon available in the game and was called Microsoft sucks ass But generally, as Dr Pepper said, it can ruin an otherwise good night of online gaming.

I guess I'm rare then. I have a zero tolerance policy and ban on the spot without warning if someone is knowingly breaking server rules or is confirmed cheating.

A game is just a game. If people are cheating, get out and go to a different server. Or, if you're playing MW2, uninstall the game and go get Battlefield BC2. Seriously though, they can cheat all they want, but it won't matter if people just leave the server they're doing it in. It's hard to cheat when there's nobody around to kill. If you're really miffed, get off the computer and go do something else for a bit.

Also, an important thing to keep in mind: 90% of players you think are cheating, are just better than you. Okay, I made that statistic up, but seriously some people really are that good. In my old CoD4 clan we had a guy who got accused of cheating almost every single match we played. He killed people through walls that he couldn't see, he smoked people with a pistol from across the map, he would enter a room and singlehandedly take out half a dozen enemy players. When they accused him of cheating, he would sent them Fraps of the entire match. Guy is 100% clean. I usually saw him with a 7:1 or better kill to death ratio, and he never camped.

Don't forget about lag either. It happens.

Just look around on YouTube for skilled players who record themselves dishing out some uberpwnage and ask yourself, "if I were the guy he just killed, would I think he was a hacker at this point?"

I have a similar attitude. I was an admin on a server for a clan back in bf2 days and I saw a blatant m95 aimbotter. I stood behind and watched him lock onto enemies and kill instantly with no misses etc. I tried to ban and the game simply would not let me. So I asked a fellow admin to ban him and that admin refused to ban him and wouldn't say why. I think some servers and their admins are just as bad as the hackers at times.

I know of 1 server admin that cheated on BF2142. His record showed something like a 300:1 K/D with 1 vehicle (the APC), but he was the admin, so no one could do anything about it. I got myself permanently banned from their servers on purpose so I wouldn't even accidently play with those [Insert bad term].

I have personally been accused and banned for cheating in BF2142 because of the speed at which I could fire the P33 revolver. I wasn't cheating, I could just fire that gun really really fast due to practice and playing Recon too much.

I said this before and I guess I will mention it here. I will most likely get banned from at least 1 server in BFBC2 because of "cheating" with the .45 1911.

Use servers that don't allow hacking or cheating, they do have them on the all the games you mentioned.

Also then join games with no cheating/hacking in the title or listed when you hover your mouse over them.

I've not come across hackers/cheaters in online games for about 5 years just be choosing decent servers and games.

Whats the point in it?
When you win you still aren't winning and it only makes people leave the lobby, leaving the cheater by themselves.

GRID and DIRT 2 always has cheaters, ones which behave as if they are actually good but get real mad when they lose calling the winner a cheater or Alt-F4 out of the game before they get a lose to their stats.

I have only learned ONE thing about hackers and cheaters, most of them do it to annoy you because they are douchebags, but I would say micspammers are 1 billion times worst, you ever tried to play call of duty and someone starts playing NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP out of nowhere, it'll drive you insane.

Agreed, those who just let it happen don't belong in an administrative position. I'll leave them to their own hack-ridden servers.

Just for comparison: in my two years of playing CoD4, I've seen a total of six (6) players who I was sure were cheating (suspected about a dozen or so but I don't ban just because someone is kicking my butt). In MW2, I encountered a dozen definite cheaters in two weeks. One map I entered, five seconds after the game started, a player on the other team got six or seven headshots simultaneously.

I've stopped playing MW2.

Jet works quite well along with tank or dropping cars as commander on them.

I gave up on the online games because of hackers. I have also not tried many of the latest games just because of them. Many games I would like to play but not worth it to me any more.

You can't just let them ruin it for you. Yeah, they're annoying but you just leave the server and find a different one, and all's good.
