DDR3 1600 CL8 should do you fine. DX3 CL7 is expensive and for practical use really doesn't offer any benefit over CL8. Make sure your motherboard supports it natively. As for a HD the best out there right now are the Western Digital Black Series. Get a 1 TB Black and your's set.

We wouldn't suggest it if it weren't compatible. This isn't 4chan here.

You should update your system specs for your profile here.

No one was offended, but the parts you are asking about just don't have any real compatability concerns. Quick lesson to help you since you are new.

In General, if it plugs up, it should work.

RAM: Motherboard (mobo for short) will tell you what memory type to use (such as DDR2 or DDR3). i7, i5, and i3 have a Voltage max on RAM of 1.65V, so make sure the voltage is that or less for Intel i platform. AMD will roll with anything. Brand is only important to you as the user, but the system will not care. Stick with Unbuffered and non-ECC.

HDD: If it plugs up, you are good. Always buy SATA 3.0 Gb/s or the new 6.0 Gb/s (Serial ATA on some sites). The newer the model, the better the tech, the faster it will most likely be. SCSI is mainly for servers, and IDE is old and almost completely dead.

Samsung F: series. The higher the number the faster the drive. F1 < F2 < F3.

Western Digital: Serial number scheme gets complicated, but know this much. Green, power saving, slow speed, usually very high density. Blue, all purpose middle drive, decent speed, decent density, power efficent. Black, fastest drive, eats a little more power than normal, density varies and will cost more per GB.

Hitachi: Stick with the 7k series. They are good drives. Not the best, but reliable, decent speed, very affordable prices.

I hope that helps a clear up some confusion when shopping around.
