Ermmm, no, not really. Im used to playing FPS's on the console with a pad now, but it will NEVER compare to using a mouse. But a pad is essential for car games and beat'em ups etc, not a mouse.

I must admit though, its nice having the rumble effect when firing your guns or driving around a race track, I use the Xbox 360 controller for Borderlands on the PC and Dirt 2.:rockout:

nah its for those idiots that think that an xbox 360 is 10 times more powerful the any pc.

Also you could see the sensitivity on that mouse was god awful even compared to an old ball mouse.
Nothing like a 'real' mouse if u ask me

You can adjust DPI in the software on pc, I assume it saves it to the firmware and ups it in game.

I only console game because of exclusive titles (God Of War etc), convenience (less space taken up) and price. I would love to have the time/cash to build a gaming rig again :rockout:

What we have to remember is the fact that some people dont know about how good a PC can be for gaming. The general public only go by what they are told in stores like PC World. They walk in looking for a PC, the member of staff, that TBH, knows fuck all about gaming (most of the time) tells them that a factory built POS with onboard graphics will run games great.

They get home, all happy with there new ÂŁ1000 PC and try to play Crysis, BAD MOVE! The PC basically says 'fuck you' and runs it as smooth as treacle. The said person goes from :) to :(

BUT, this same person, pops a game like God Of War 3 into his nice new PS3 Slim, connects it to his nice new 1080p LCD TV and thinks WOW, that looks the bollox! (and rightly so, its superb!)

So whos to blame? The uneducated public (lets face it, we all start somewhere when it comes to PC's lol) or the arsehole @ PC World that mislead the customer and put him off PC gaming for life?

it's the uneducated masses to blame... there will always be those trying to mislead. you have to be intelligent and aware enough to be responsible for yourself. the thing that sucks is their misdeeds affect us all by proxy. if facts actually mattered we would have PC games that actually make use of the PC, instead of treating it as another console to port to.

I own the FragFX for the PS3. its exactly the same thing as the brand you posted.

I bought it because I HATE playing fps games on a console with a standard console pad. In fact I have skipped over many good titles because of this fact.

Once I bought my FragFX I was able to play these games for the first time and it was close to the same effect as a true mouse and keyboard provides. When I play friends they think I'm cheating because my aim so so spot on.

not exactly the same. from what I read the fragnstein is better. and fragfx seems to have some shady marketing

can't argue with experience though... if it's good it's good :) I have been wondering, and wanting to get one for awhile. For exclusive shooters on my PS3

Honestly, if you don't have any issues with what you're using why switch?

I agree 110% m8. The PC gamer is being shit on from a great height. A lot of PC gamers blame the console user for this. But its the game devs/publishers.

Because its better? Plus mine is wired and I was thinking about buying the wireless FragFX but if this other brand is even better then I may as well buy it instead.

from what i gather it's overall manufacturing quality is better. a lot of the stuff being said about for example it's sensitivity settings are not true. you can change it's sensitivity on the fly, you don't need to plug it into a computer.

truthfully i can't find a whole ton of info on either of them, which is what is making the decision so hard.

Well my FragFX has sensitivity adjustment on the fly, actually a couple adjustments on the fly and it does not need to be hooked up to a pc either. I wonder what that is about...

I have two complaints about mine:

1. it's wired (but they do make a wireless model)
2. the mouse can have a bit o lag on some games. Not really lag but a jerky kinda feeling. Not all games have this though. KillZone does. Bad Company does not. I have no idea what causes this.

Keep in mind that this is not a true mouse per say; it's a mouse that acts as the 'right' analog stick of the game controller.

Knowing that you should expect the movement and turning to act just like the controller analog stick does. Slow. Cranking up the sensitivity helps a lot but its still no where near as quick as a pc mouse.

Aiming is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier though. It truly makes fps games awesome to play on the console. Not as good as on a pc though.

You will need a lap table to use it properly.
