I have been contacting these guys via email, phone calls and everything available to me.
they use yogi, which is supposed to help them give customer support.
so far the only thing yogi has done is kept me on the phone for 30 minutes.. twice.
then transferred me to another line, which promptly hung up on me.
the second time I called I told the guy he needs to stay on the phone with me until I was effectively transferred.
he said ok, then transferred me to a line which dropped me, just like my previous call.
I even gave the guy my email address, he stated he would have the link sent to me directly.
it never happened.

Oh btw their "support" is in india.
So good luck with that..
They won't even respond to my emails, even though their supports says 24 hours for a response.

I just installed win 7 x64 and now for 3 days I have no antivirus..
I'd stay away from these guys like the plague.

I See MBAM has an active protection now a days.
They never failed me before.
I think I'll go with them.
Honestly the pc security shield and the deluxe shield, never once caught a virus on my pc.
I have used them for 3 years.
I have had dozens of viruses since I got them, all of which have been caught and removed by Mbam.
Not A SINGLE VIRUS has ever been caught by this crappy ass software.
don't get it, it's useless and their customer support ignores you.

I don't mind paying for a thorough product.
Point is, I paid for this and 2 years subscription.
They won't even respond to me.
That's just a horrible way to do business.

I find it hard to believe any free antivirus is as good as a paid for one.
If there is one that is "truly" as good.
Please do let me know.
Please post some information or comparisons if it truly is better.
MBAM has never failed me when everything else has.

AVG Free is the same as their paid version, it has the same detection database and scan engine, the difference solely comes down to minor features. Mainly the ability to schedule multiple scans, and a built in firewall(which no one should care about).

I've heard that Microsoft Security Essentials is great all around, and I have used it for a while with no issues, so I will vouch for it. Also used Avast for a long time, but switched to MSE. :)

Their seems site seems clean, but scroll down the page here and read the comments. They use the F-Secure engine in their A/V.

Like, the others recommended:

MS Security Essentials

Comodo

Avira

A-Squared

Avast

AVG

BitDefender

Rising PC

And They are all free:rockout: versions. Why pay for one, anyway? Unless you want their tech support?

Sorry they won't answer; report them to the Florida BBB. Or their Parent company: iS3, Inc.

Info on company:
PCSecurityShield
109 Commerce Road, Boynton Beach, FL 33426

Owned by:
iS3, Inc.
109 Commerce Road
Boynton Beach, FL 33426
Phone: 1.561.586.6055

And,here is their review at bbb.

Goodluck.:)

OOh what a bunch of crap A+ rating..
Guess I have some antiviruses to look at..lol.
Kaspersky good for gaming as well?
Something that can be passive is an absolute necessity to me.

The only thing I liked about pc security shield was it had a gaming mode.
Not that it mattered.
thing always seemed in game mode.
Never once got a "this virus has been blocked" message.
Or anything at all.
Run scans it comes up clean.
run mbam and I see 6..lol
not just disabled firewalls and automatic updates "which I do manually".

Thanks for the bbb link.
I will definitely be using it.

Wheres the dang 2-3 year subscriptions XD.
I'll find em if they exist.
EDIT: found and getting the 3 year, 3 pc's @ $119.00 good deal.

Thanks again for the info.
I think it will work out much better than Pcsecurityshield..
Worst Antivirus..EVER.

posted a report on the BBB as well under Dale.B.
