Questions about the GeForce GTX 295 Mars

The ASUS GeForce GTX 295 "Mars" made from Two GTX 285 cores instead of Two GTX 275 cores. I have not found this card available ANYWHERE on the internet. Apparently only 1,000 of them were ever produced.

Given that fact, they probably cost around the same as a top of the line Nvidia Quadro.



But really, how much do they cost? Where can you get them?

Are there any of them even left?

You might be able to find on on ebay, they aren't sold in retail and they are around $1200 dollars plus. I believe ASUS is making a 5970 Ares which will be following the same thing for wealthy "in the know" enthusiasts. Either way, it would be a heck of a lot of fun to play with. :toast:

What is the 5970 "Ares"?

How will it be faster than the standard HD 5970?

get a 5970 .... or 2 x 5870s .... if you have money to spend ...

The price was much more than that of two 295's. It's even much more than two 480 or two 5970...
Think twice before committing to purchase.
