Good for you Tigg im suprised there isnt like a rehab for wow users having seen the odd docco of users spending rediculous hours on trying to to get to the highest level bah not for me. Even though getting money out of any type of enthusiest has to be the easiest thing just bring a special edition dl content some stupid accesory and put a price on and bingo more money.

Blizzard are probably the richest game company in the world,i dont even really see why they bother releasing new games,they have the fattest cash cow in their herd.There are enough people feeding the cash cow to make blizzard complacent.

I played FF online for like 5 years.. I would never allow people to take advantage of me, unless it's a woman and even then there are guidelines.
Basically Blizzard said "hey their dumb, they'll pay whatever we say it's worth"
and they sure enough did. It's a slap in the face when I see companies get away with this crap.
That's pretty sad people are so desperate to look cool.

Think about though, a lot of these players probably already have everything and then some from the game. A new expansion isn't coming out and they've done all the latest and greatest raids.....picked up the latest and greatest items and tricked out their toon.

Here's Blizzard's thinking.

Blizzard Guy1 "Crap. These people move quick and already have the best stuff out there. We need to keep them thinking we care. Let's make a dumb mount, price it the cost of an expansion and watch the money roll in."

Blizzard Guy2 "That's kind of outrageous, why would people pay for something so simple?"

Blizzard Guy1 "Get security in here and escort Blizzard Guy2 off of the property, he's fired!"

Well, to each their own. Blizzard is a company so their objective (actually, if they are publically traded it is required) is to make money for their shareholders. They are very successful at it.

Sometimes we get immersed in something, having a good time and make rash decisions.
For instance, I bought "Horse Armor" for Oblivion.

i'm not sure how $25 is a waste though, thats nothing, i've donated far more money than that and spent that much on losing lottery tickets and then some. lol

now i'm sure if we took a game that everyone here likes, new or old and added a major graphics overhaul pack that looks as good as Crysis or better, i wonder how many here would pay for that?
If your obsessed with graphics, i'd bet most here would drool considering it at least.
I think its the same concept as this mount in WOW, as much time as some spend playing it, why not?

My experience with WoW was pretty positive. While being broke for years, I was able to keep myself entertained for close to 5 years for cheap. I met a lot of good people from all over the planet and have had some epic discussions on any topic under the sun.

I feel Activision's influence in the game, as the expansions have progressively gotten more of a slapped together feeling, and the raids have gotten less and less challenging. Also, with stupidly priced add ons like this is a huge money grab. I don't think Blizzard would be selling a mount for $25 dollars on their own merit. I understand their inclusion of a WoW mount in the collectors edition of SC2, since they want to sell SKU's enmasse.

My theory? WoW will cease to be exclusively a subscription game, and instead battle.net will be what you subscribe to, in order to play all of Blizzard's games online. That though makes me cringe though, but I can see it happening.

Am I fat/overweight? Probably. Why? Might be because I'm lazy and/or eat too much. Do I weigh 90KG? No.

Do I have anger management problems? Nah, not really.

Do I have a job? Nope, 'cause I'm studying, and students in Denmarks get paid.

Do I have 12 hours a day to play WoW? Nah, being a student, and being with friends kinda doesn't give me time to do that.

So yes, I bought the mount. Why? Because I like it. It's a neat little item for all my fiddly little pixel creatures. So what else could I have bought for 20 euros... In Denmark, about 5 bottles of soda, or 3 burgers. Yeah, I'll just take the damn horse.

Yes, it does and a lot. Publishers only know about one thing: making money. And you know what "vote with your wallet" means right? So what all these dumbs are doing is telling publishers that releasing a lame mount for $25 is way more profitable than releasing a damn game. Don't expect many great games in the future. This along with MW2 and some others are teaching them that no matter how much they screw the gamers, there's always going to be some stupid enough to pay for not only their copy, but also those of the ones that didn't want to buy the game*, enough to make up for the lost customers. And when it comes to money, publishers learn fast.

*By paying $60 instead of $50 for a crippled game, by paying $25 for stupid things...

The reason I play wow is because most other games that I play I get board of them within a week of purchase and quit playing them. Bad Company 2 for example
