Damn you crysis!LOL not able to finish final level

Im on the final level and the game keeps crashing and restarting my computer 100% max settings throughout the game but when I get to this point game crashes then my pc crashes,lol...I've read online that it could be a number of things but what is it exactly?(this has happened to a lot of people) till then Im blaming steam lol :laugh:

Happens to me everytime. I've tried restoring from earlier saves, as well as cranking down all settings. Nothing works. It sucks big time.

theres a few possible fixes 1 is to run compatibility mode for win xp and run it in dx9 mode worked for me theres also the dark side........

he's saying that running in DX9 and bypassing the games copy protection can solve the crashes you're having.

its not allowed to LINK to such things here, but its clear you guys own the game - so a no-CD crack isnt outside the realm of discussion for a solution.

I made crysis run DX9 by adding "-dx9" in steam and that seemed to fix it, and I completed crysis

I experienced exactly the same issue. I finally managed to complete the game after about fifty attempts as I gradually crawled my way a little further and managed to save. The game clearly was never properly optimised, despite its popularity and frequent use as a benchmark.

I would say its popularity killed any chances of optimization. if people buy it, then its good enough. (it's a horrible mentality, but good business, hopefully the second one will do better in this respect)
