New Build - What case should I get?

Hey guys,

I'm building a new PC at the end of June, I have all the parts worked out that I want but I seem to be stuck on what case to get. I've looked high and low but can't seem to find anything that suits my liking/budget.

I need something with the following:

Good cooling (Kinda like the cooling on the HAF 932...)
Full tower case (or enough room to work in atleast)
Black interior would be nice but it's not a must
Case has to be less than $220 Australian (Check www.staticice.com.au for pricing)

I was looking at the HAF 932 but I don't like the look of the inside (which I guess doesn't matter that much), I like the look of the Fractual Design R2 but reviews tell me it lacks in cooling even with aftermarket fans.....Corsair 800D would be a dream case but cost far to much.

Apart from that I'm not sure what I should get. Any ideas?

That CM 690 II advanced looks quite nice, whats it like room wise? Does it fit long graphics cards with a breeze? :laugh:

it wont fit a 5970 unless you have a mb with a bottom pci-e slot and you remove the bottom hd cage thingie

other than that its quite spacy, but not a monster like the 800D,

it will fit a 5870 inside, but no longer than that if you dont remove the hd cage

np bro, i loved it, but i sold it again, im tired of all the bling bling thing with lights and what not, but its a great case for the price, prob. the there is so far

Yeah if I buy that case. (which I think I will) first thing I'm doing is changing the stock fans..I can't stand the bling bling thing either...
Haha, Unfortunately I'm stuck with a 'bling bling' Thermalcrap case..Hahaha :banghead:

one good thing though, you can press a button on the top that turns of the blue light int the front fan

and thats the only fan with lights in it, and the other fans are quite good imo

What Don said. I have the original CM 690, and the CM 690 II is nothing but improvements on the original. They are GREAT cases. Fantastic airflow.

I'm a big fan of the Silverstone raven series ... both rv01 and rv02 are just awesome ... :rockout:

unique stack cooling design ... have seen huge differences in temps when compared to other cases (in reviews)

I also have the CM690II Advanced and can only say great things about it. First thing I did was remove all of the fans and replace them with Xiggy 120mms. I modded the top switch to turn my (white) CCFL on and off. Great case. My only complaint is that the top and front dust filters are a (insert obsenity here) to remove. I ended up just removing the front/top panels, which are a breeze to remove, and blowing them out backwards. Great case, cable management is excellent, and I like the Dual GPU holder thing.

I'm a 690 owner and the mods I did to my case are pretty much what are already done on the 690 II Advanced which is the only reason why I don't have a 690 II Advanced.
