Hello there!

I've got the Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro with an Arctic Cooling ATI VGA Silencer 3.
ATI Tool has detected the max Clock at 402 MhZ, i hope this is ok or is more possible? :)

And i have read that I would get more performance when i flash the BIOS to 9800 XT

I want to know, why this gives more performance?
Does it activate some deactivated features in the card'?

Some cards are able to overclock more when they are flashed to a different bios, but that's a rare occasion.

R360 core uses a different instruction set than the R350 so yes it is a bit different

Flashing will make your card perform better than a normal Pro, even at the same clocks, there's a 5-10% performance increase, but if your card cannot OC to XT levels, even with an arctic cooler, I wouldn't recommend flashing it... :(

Hm I have loaded my Bios in RaBiT and it says

R350 Hynix DDR BIOS - P/N 113-A07521-104

So I because of the R350 I can't flash it to XT? :/

Check in atitool instead, but if you have r350 there is no point in flashing.

Clock for clock, a 9800XT or R360 core is slightly faster. May get a few hundred points boost in 3D Mark 03. The R360 core is a tweaked up version of the older R350. If its a R360 core card, I recommend that you flash it to an XT. But before you do that , do make sure you change the stock cooler and use ATI Tool to ensure that the card can run at 9800XT speed. :)
