I only have about 45mins in game and I was not exactly in the right state of mind to play. It is pretty fun but no, not an instant classic. The potential is there however.

For it being a beta i thought it was great, ive got 4.5hrs played since last night. Game play was fun and as long as they keep working on the graphics/eyecandy part of it then it should be a great game to buy

Pretty much, just played for like 20 minutes, so far not impressed at all. Will try again tomorrow, hopefully the server browser will actually find some Australian servers (yes, there are Aussie servers running).

Game does feel like CoD:MW with a lot of problems. Hit detection is poor, just like BC2. Lack of mouse wheel support and bad control scheme. Mouse sensitivity is borked between menu and game. Server browser is crap (though better than BC2 beta). Guns sound great and pretty good damage model (better than BC2), but there is no recoil! All guns are dead accurate! I am surprised on why they did this. I do like the quick respawn time and the ability to spawn at the front line (teammate nearest to the objective). It keeps the action intense. All in all, I do like the fast pace action, but dislike everything else.

The hit detection in BC2 is the best Ive ever seen. What do you feel is wrong with it?

Right ...

Hit detection is so great that Dice is expanding the hit boxes on moving targets just because their netcode is the best out there. It is so great that the knife can insta kill from 10 feet away while loosely aiming at the target.
