what do u think about my new computer, is it good ?

Shouldnt you be asking this question before you buy the computer not after when its too late!

It depends what the system is for, its a alright computer, taking into consideration that everything is stock (not overclocked) I would probably rate it a 6.5/10 as a gaming rig, 7.0/10 as an encoding or rendering rig or an 8.0/10 as a general web browsing rig.

PS. That windows performance benchmark is not an indication of performance.

Please fill out your "system spec's" to allow us to see the rest of your rig. You can find it in your "private messages" screen off to the left hand side. What I see now, its a solid build. You can squeeze some more power out of it if you so choose. 6/10 overall build without see all the rest. :toast:

What Dent said. Ask these questions before[/i] you buy, lol. Luckily, it seems like you made some good choices. 9-9-9-24 seems too high for 1333 though. You didn't buy a retail (we call them prebuilt around here) system did you? If not, go in the BIOS and try lowering the timings. My friend runs 7-7-7-24 at 1.65v.

of course the list is longer when it comes to disadvantages - there is only one advantage to OCing, and thats getting a faster PC for no extra money.

not much of a difference to i5. speed varies a lot based on the files and settings, so we cant say if thats fast or not.

the second pci slot in my motherboard is 4x , i don't know what it mean and whether if it will effect on crossfire setup in the future ?

with such low powered cards like your 5750, no, it wont make any difference.

lol going faster for free is definitely disadvantageous.

in any case your machine is not balanced well for a gaming rig. Over all its a decent home system, but its not a stellar gamer. The CPU is very strong but the video card is not in respect to the rest of the hardware.

As many said said, you have a pretty strong CPU.

But please try and get it overclocked. Then pick your self up a better video card, and boom!!, you have a nice gaming rig.;)

Taking into consideration he lives in Egypt, thats probably a pretty kick-ass rig in his country.

This is not true, am not from Egypt but am Arabic too and Egypt is the leading Arabic country in hardwares importation, they have really ALL with good prices and have a great number of hardcore gamers, and Arabia is not behind the sun lol. Also it depends in the use of the system and the level of the person who will rate his system, in his country, a gamer will give him 6/10, a general user will give him 9/10 '"kick-ass"' like you say.
And i will give you a comparison between my country "Morocco" and "Egypt", here we have only ONE company that sells hardware, so the MAX we can get for a psu's is a corsair 650, for gpu's is the 5770 and for motherboards p6t for 1366 and p7p55d series for 1156, no ssd, that company sells antec 500w for about 180 usd !!! and i7 930 for 550 usd and the list goes on, the situation is critical here and it's much much better in Egypt.
that's all :)

ooh.. i smell a gray market opportunity :D. but yeah i used to live in saudi arabia and we were getting the same hardware just at jacked up prices. whenever ppl think middle east alot of them think camels and people haggling over elaborate floor rugs.

I wouldnt say there are "disadvantages" to overclocking. I would classify it more as "risks". There are more risks to overclocking rigs. But if done right after educating yourself, those risks are very much minimized. Some people just dont like to take the chances. Thats ok. Overclocking is not for everyone. You have a solid rig right now. Enjoy. :toast:

I think you have a nice system with lots of potential. You say it is a custom build. Did you build it yourself?

yes, and i was hesitating becouse i was going to buy PhII X4 955 but i didn't find it but the seller told me if you arn't going to overclocking you'll not find much difference between them and the mobo i got the asus instead of Gigabyte GA-MA785GT-UD3H , he told me asus borad will be better.

Disadvantages? What are these disadvantes you speak of? :rockout:

The lifespan of a processor may be reduced by higher operating frequencies, increased voltages and heat Stability problems may surface after prolonged usage due to new workloads or untested portions of the processor core. may also result in stability problems after a long period of time. Even when a computer appears to be working normally, problems may arise in the future.
Even with adequate CPU cooling, the excess heat produced by an overclocked processing unit increases the ambient air temperature of the system case; consequently, other components may be affected. Also, more heat will be expelled from the PC's vents, raising the temperature of the room the PC is in - sometimes to uncomfortable levels.
Overclocking a PC component void its warranty .
