What the? Under benchmark, apparently the X1950 PRO beats the X1900XTX

Unless its due to better CPU/RAM etc...

I dont know about XTX, but the X1950Pro do often beat the X1950XT in benchmarks but not by much.
Which X1950XT and X1900XTX are almost the same card.
You cant always judge a card according to benches, other factor can affect the performance.

hmm, did you mean X1900XT, cus i totally doubt itll beat a X1950XT :p

But i still dont get how it can even come close in benchmarks, let alone beat the x1900xt/xtx because the x1900xt/xtx have more shaders, pipes and higher clocks...

I have the Sapphire X1950 Pro running with the XGWarCat 6.11's and this card does super well in benchmarks and visuals are super.
I see reviews where two of these cards setup as the native crossfire, outperforms the GForce 7950 GX2, and plays alongside the GForce 8800cards very well.
It does not outperform the 8800's but does rate alongside the two cards.
This performance is setup by the two crossover links between the two cards.
GForce only uses one crossover link, seems as if that extra link does give the Radeon an edge.

yeah i get what you mean, but the X1900XT has EVERYTHING better than the X1950 PRO, so how can the X1950 PRO win :p? (talking bout single cards here ;))

thanks for the replies

Well 3d06 is very CPU dependent and the X1900XTX was more than likely reviewed with a slower CPU than the X1950pro was tested with. I would put my money down that the X1900 is a faster card.
