What version do you have and how's it working for ya?

I'm a big fan of low profile/low power draw hardware so the 5670 would be my first choice for an upgrade:)

Currently rockin'ye olde Nvidia 7600 GT, 512 MB DDR2

im cranking a mobility 5650, not really in the territory of the desktop 5670... same core but no GDDR5 and the clocks are a lot lower.

however I can say at my laptops native res of 1366x768 this card does VERY well for itself, given the right price a 5670 should be a gem in the hands of a budget gamer/overclocker.

That's awesome:D

I'm an oddball in that I hate running my system at high rez:p

When I was on a CRT my preferred setting was always 800x600.

And now that I've got an LCD it's 960x600:)

Plus I always have vertical sync on so the fps will be limited to 75 max.

That should add up to greater performance with 4x AA and maybe 8x AS or even 16x:)

If I get a Blueray drive I will switch to high def of course but after the movie's done I'm switching right back,Lol

Thanks for the link Crush3r:)

a 5670 should be absolutely ample for gaming at those resolutions, you won't even 'need' to overclock, but I'd do it anyway just for the hell of it...

stock core clock is 775mhz and it should hit 850mhz no problem whatsoever, if not more if you can get past CCC's overclocking limits with MSI Afterburner.

mines stock clocked at 550mhz and it runs games 24/7 at 715mhz, and thats only because MSI Afterburner wont let me go any higher :(

No problem :toast:
You are indeed an oddball
As Wolf said, at your low res a 5670 will rock anything out there (maybe even crysis :p)

I have a HIS 5670 512mb. I love it, it's very quiet even under load and doesn't run hot at all. I can take out the card after a session of SC2 and it'll just feel warm in my hands, and that's in the A05N case without any ventilation on top, where the card sits. By contrast, my GTX 465 idles at 60C with the side panel off in that case. Oh, and I'm running 3 monitors off of it :)

Yeah even 1024x768 sucks because it makes the icons tiny!

I know I can make'em bigger and everything but I'm not gonna do it:wtf:

I guess it's because I'm a resource miser,Lol

Even if I had the most powerful computer on the market I'd still shut down all but a handfull of needed background services and run it low but with 32 bit color and a high refresh rate of course:pimp:

I like to overclock and tweak my gear as well:)

I get a nice boost just by upping the RAM on my 7600 GT from the stock 266 to just 300 Mhz...

I don't even need to touch the core speed usually:D

BTW,I need to get Mirrors Edge!,Looks like a kickass game:rockout:

A PowerColor HD 5670 is my spare card when my 5870 acts up (which is far more often than I'd like). It's not a great gaming card but it will get the job done. I played quiet a bit of The Sims 3 on it at 1920x1200 on low settings and I didn't have any problems.

Mind you, a 9800 GT is slightly faster for about the same price.

I didn't really care for Mirror's Edge. If you want to run around on buildings, I'd look at Assassin's Creed II.

Yeah Nvidia needs a DIE SHRINK for there stuff!,Lol

I've heard that ATI>Nvidia and the only thing holding'em back is those often buggy drivers and no Physx.

Otherwise ATI RULES:cool:
