Hey Guys!
Preliminary events:
A few weeks ago I wanted to try flashing my card so it has higher clock speeds by default.
I own a XFX 9600 GT and used a XFX 9600 GT XXX bios.
The flashing (under windows ) worked fine but I had some random artifacts all over windows after reboot.
Then I decided to restore my backup bios. This unfortunately failed partly as I got a bluescreen. Also I got a black screen during boot..
So I learnt form the fail to try flashing in windows and went for dos to restore my bios.
There it showed that my old (now not working) bios was on the card already.. I decided to overwrite it with my backup again and this went smooth.
Now to my problem :
After 0.5 to 2h of gaming my games (BFBC2, BF2) freeze, WM Player, Flash Plugin etc. stop working and I have to reboot to get everything sorted again.
Running furmark works however for some reason.
Could this new problem be related to my flashing attempts?
Tried sofar:
* Reinstalling driver,
* driver sweeping the driver and using latest whql driver,
* Running furmark stability -> I don't get over 80°C max in OC state, no crashes within 30mins
* I logged my gpu stats with gpu-z till the issue (somewhere around 5:02:30)
So what else could I do to pinpoint & fix the problem?
