As a rule, single more powerful cards are better used by games than dual card setups. Not to mention the fact that dual card systems tend to take a lot of tinkering.

This guy has a heck of a good deal on a 480. The stuff he sells is rock solid.

I know its true about a single card solution, but if i will choose a gtx 480 the zotac amp! will be the one cuz I live in Cuba! and dude, its really hot here!:twitch: the stock gtx480 will evaporate!:D and i read about the sli benches on the gtx 460 and they really look pretty good.:rockout:

All estimations I see are putting the 6870 ahead of a 480, probably about the same as 460 sli. So just wait a wee bit. Shouldn't be much longer now.

i Had the 5870 and went to 2 of the gigabyte 460s and i love it, idle at 24-25c in my place and depending on the oc no higher then 60c. Kicks ass in games and OC like crazy! And quiet as hell at 100% fan!

i personally prefer 2 cards over one. he 460 sli scalling is simply amazing benches have shown that time and again. even at hot ambient temps your gpu temps will not be that hot with the 460's they are very efficient and run nice and cool

I think on getting those 2 gtx460, if ATI comes with some monster to beat the hell out of this SLI ,well good for all who expect the best ,no matter if is ATI or Nvidia. Gaming like heaven is what matters.:rockout:
anyway I hope that this thread help everyone who its interested in upgrading to gtx460 sli.

TPU rocks!!!
