Thats crazy, dont think I've seen an MMO fail so quickly.

I can see why tho, the games crap. I bought it then played maybe 3 hours out of the initial 50 or whatever it is you get for purchasing.

This game was doomed to fail right from the beginning, too ambitious and complex for a company that released 2 mediocre games (crackdown and crackdown 2). This game needed far more development time.

It hasn't been pretty over at Realtime Worlds ...

A source claimed: "All the APB team - over a 100 people - were told to gather in a meeting room. And then the names of those who were being made redundant were read out over a microphone, and they had to leave the room one-by-one and collect their redundancy package."

Info states that "Project MyWorld" is being scooped up by a US firm, but APB looks doomed.

Realtime Worlds' chairman and chief strategy officer Ian Hetherington is said to be involved with the US firm that has bought Project MyWorld after the collapse of the Scottish developer.

Interesting that the Chairman (of the Board) and CSO is in this bargaining.
"Oops, my strategy sucked, let's buy up the failed company for pennies on the dollar".

they didnt develope Crackdown 2 it was made by a different company :rolleyes:

but like others have sayd the game was garbage so no wonder it failed so hard

Guess they take the record from Tabula Rasa now. This game had possibility, the character creation was pretty dang good, graphics were bad, you could hi-jack cars, but driving physics were funky, missions weren't as cool as street guerrilla tactics should have been.

Yeah, I thought it would of at least lasted 6 months, but guess not.

It was a crap game, annoying in-game ads, steep learning curve and crappy graphics for the system requirements they wanted... It was doomed to fail.

I wish game companies would learn to stop trying to kill WoW, cause it's not going to happen.. =\

I watched a lot of videos, trailers, sneak peaks, what have you, about this game out of curiosity when it was coming out. Even from all those videos it looked terrible (in my opinion) so when I read about this the other day, I kinda "lol'ed" and am unsurprised about this happening.
