It has worked 3 times with my 8800gts 640mb card. Granted eventually you will have to re bake because the fix is only temporary, but hey it works

I baked my 8800gtx for the first time a few hours ago. Running sweet now under full load and surprisingly, it now runs 5degrees cooler lol.

allows the solder and other metals to reflow, to reconnect, broken or weakened connections in the PCB, not too sure about the actual core...

umm as far as I know you only want to bake PC components one way, if you flip the card to cure any warping, the components will fall off the PCB during the bake.

I never thought about it before but I do prefer my graphics cards à la carte whenever possible.

I got at least two dead graphics cards lying around I could try this on. I dunno if I'm willing to bother but maybe when I get drunk and bored...

My 8800GTX finally died again, but i have to say 88 days of near 24/7 full load folding is not bad for something that should be dead. On my second bake now and running like nothing happened :laugh:
