I think I'm going to buy a 360 this weekend, I have a couple of games in mind I was considering buying but wanted to check out a list something along the lines of this one here. The reason I don't like Gamespot's list though is the scores are based on the reviewers, not the gamers. There are numerous highly rated games from reviewers that the gamers gave low scores and vice versa. I was curious to see a list based more on ratings by the gamers themselves.

IGN is a pretty good site. TBH, your better off finding a title, then looking on a few game review sites and posting on forums like this asking what us gamers thought of it ;)

Metacritic sounds like what you need. Reviews by critics and gamers both having a unique score system so you can see what people really think of it and who marketing payed off.

Yep, metacritic is where it's at, shows review from all the top reviews and puts it into a nice average. I usually read the top few reviews summarys and the bottom few, then you have a feel for what the biased people feel and you can see if one of them is acting extremist.

Any major review websites give out scores relative to how much publishers pay them.
