Where to buy 6" USB A Male-Male Cable?

My boss needs a 6" USB-A Male to USB-A Male cable. I've only been able to find it at one place but there was something wrong with their checkout service and I couldn't place the order.

This is what I need for visual reference:

However that one is of course too long.

usb-a is a standard plug so you should be able to find a usb-a to usb-a cord anywhere online. check radio shack if you are in nyc. and TPU is going to start billing your firm for tech support soon

yeah i've always wondered - but have never actually seen anything that uses them.

I don't see anything smaller than 3' there =/ Unless I'm missing it, I'm not sure.

It's being used by electrical contractors on a job site. I think the cable has to go in a very small box and there really isn't any room for excess cable to bunch up.

i know you want to be professional and all for your job - but sometimes the most professional thing is to just do it yourself. I don't mean that in any bad way , just that i recognize it may not seem professional to splice wires - but at the same time if it does the job properly and you get it done, i say that's professional.

you could pretty easily just make one i should say - if the pin out is not direct it's got to be online somewhere. like 5 wires and you're done. just an option.

As odd as it seems there are times where male to male USB is required...usually some kind of proprietary equipment.

Guys. I've been looking for the same cable.
After several hours of searching, I found a place that sells the short, 6" USB A/A Male/Male cable: MyCableMart.com

I haven't ordered from them before, but they accept PayPal, so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to deal with trying to get my money back, if they turn out to be bad, or something.

As to why I need such a cable, well, I'm currently remodeling a detached garage, and I want to install a USB-Powered PC Case Fan inside of a wall, to pull air into another room (future Bathroom) from a main room.
I know there are through-the-wall fans commercially available, but they are too loud, and bulky, and do not support standard-size air filters that can be easily purchased locally, at like any grocery store.

Also, it would be cheaper, and easier, to simply replace a USB-Powered Case Fan, whenever it gives up the ghost.

Anyway, the short, 6" USB A/A Male/Male cable is the last piece to my puzzle. Even though this thread is more than 4 years old, I thought to share this info with the internet, since Googling for it kept turning up this thread.

I already have:
~ Dual Gang Outlet Box (One side is Low Voltage).
~ AC Outlet with USB Ports, Decora Style.
~ Dual-Port Keystone Insert, Decora Style.
~ Dual-Gang Wallplate, Decora-Style.
~ USB Keystone A/A M/M Pass-through.
~ Ethernet Keystone Jack (it is not needed for the fan setup, but one can never have enough Ethernet ports, am I right?).
~ 3 ft long USB A/A M/F cable, from FrontX.com
~ 12" x 12" Return Air Filter Grill.
~ 120 mm USB-Powered Case Fan, with Grill/ cover.
~ 2 x 4's, 1 x 4's, 2 x 2's, Plywood of various sizes, Drywall, mud, tape, caulk, primer, paint, and so on...

Notes:
1) I have the White versions of the 3'rd and 4'th images, so everything will color-match. I only posted ivory-colored versions of them because they don't show up well in white, on some monitors.
2) The 6'th image (the Ethernet Port) is actually Green, so as to match the Green colored Ethernet port, that is near my Gigabit Switch.
3) Lumber and other misc stuff not shown.
