What game did you have the most fun with?

My personal favorite has to be Postal 2. The cat-shooting gun, the gimp suit...so many freakin funny things to do and it changed depending upon your own mood.
I highly recommend this one to anyone who just wants to get stupid and laugh their ass off. (Probably get it off Amazon for $2 now lol)

Mine has to be the enhanced / broken gravity gun in half life 2. Just grabbing dudes and shooting them at other groups of dudes, kinda like bowling :D

So many games I have not looked at. When I retire I bet I could game all day long and go to the grave not seeing them all.

True haha :toast:

Another good one is playing with the sentry turrets in portal. Just to hear them say their cute little phrases :D

When I first shot a guy in half ( in slomo also) in F.E.A.R I was cracking up for a good 10 minutes about it.

That's was pretty damn fun.

Yeah, I miss the old FEAR days...we had tons of fun with that game. I recall one night we modded the cannon as a surprise...it was so strong you could push people all over the map without killing them. Point it at the ground and keep firing you could fly lol. :toast: (Anyone remember the PIRATE server?)

Hmm probably the original Unreal Tournament. Built my first computer to play it (Voodoo Banshee and K6-2, whoa!). It was genuine heart pumping, hands shaking, ridiculously intoxicating excitement for the first few weeks and continued being fun for years. Hard to believe that was a decade ago and while I've certainly had a lot of fun with other game since then, nothing has come close to that initial wow factor.

Highlights of note:
1) The conversation with Sovereign is Mass Effect 1 which kept on sending shivers down my spine (and still does) because Bioware managed to capture the essence of talking to something truly out of this world. Something so grand and alien that it really makes you feel small and insignificant. Epic!
2) The mid-game twist in Knights of the Old Republic. Totally awesome.
3) The mine clearing mission in TIE Fighter where you sent on a suicide mission of clearing mines in an unshielded TIE Interceptor. So. Much. Adrenaline!
4) Finally defeating the Sa Matra in Star Control 2 after playing the game for over two months. Back then beating a game really meant something, too.
5) The through-the-tunnels in-the-nick-of-time escapes in Descent and Descent 2 after blowing the reactor.
6) The first time encountering the Shivans in Freespace and realizing that "Holy shit! My guns don't work against those things!".
7) Many of the jump-out-of-your-seat moments in F.E.A.R.

James Bond 007: Nightfire. I played it from 2003-2006. The most memorable moment was three consecutive headshots on three very qualified players in dm_japan. Bam, bam, bam, and I was the only one left alive in the room. It was incredible.

total annihilation, 7v1 match at QUELLAN in wangaratta.

totally new to competitive LAN gaming, yet i managed to actually win that game in under 20 minutes.

it is utterly awesome to have a group of gamers utterly fear you.

sadly, they STILL do, and the feckers dont play vs me any more :(

Last night, me playing the free World of Tanks beta on one of the new maps called "Abbey", I was in my Panzer Tiger 1 Tank with full upgrades, 4 of us were flanking the enemy base (me, an IS, a JahgPanzer and a KV-3), we were intercepted by 2 of their arty plus a Panzer VIB Tiger 2, Tiger 1 and IS-3, their Arty took out our JahgPanzer and KV-3, our IS took out their 2 arty before getting killed by the VIB Tiger 2, the rest of our team of 15 was destroyed leaving just me versus this Tiger 2 and IS-3, (I got behind the enemy Tiger 1 and one shotted him up his arse as my IS was taking out their arty) both were around 60% health and I was on 88% (both enemy have better armour and weapons), well using some cover and getting their Tiger 2 in the line of fire between me and the IS-3 meant that I managed to kill both of them and win the game, I had only 3% health left but it took 10 minutes of pure nail biting frenzy! :rockout:

Playing Resident Evil 4 on PC was really fun, because there was no mouse support - only keyboard to move and shoot! It was fun to shoot zombies.

let's see cs 1.5 getting a guy down to a couple health (at 17 myself) then having to both reload and instead of reloading I decided to knife rush and win the map.

definetly liked running through hl2 with the modified grav gun the whole way.

but I gotta go back to starcraft broodwar when playign a multiplayer map I typically send out a worker whatever race I play to go get more resources and start a new base early on.

it was a good thing I did because the guy I was playing in 1 on 1 was alot better at quick build up than I was and had already sent a decent force to obliterate my main base before I had much more than 4 zealots (getting a few more with the resources that I saved for the other base wouldn't have helped) The detruction of my main base lasted long enough for me to setup 2 aux bases and I had to play decoy for a while harrasing his base and leading his forces away until I led him to the decoy base and he started workign on that.

with my new main base safe for the moment I decided to strike at his with a couple carriers and some ground forces.

by the time he was able to pull his force back to his main base he had lost most of it and I had a new reserve force built up that i used to finish him off. Having to lead him around and force him to decoys was nail biting and stressful, if he found the wrong base first I'd have lost it all.

Battlefield 1942

+1, played this day in day out with a group of mates, the laughs just kept rolling.

I had an ex-girlfriend who would give me a BJ while playing Super Mario. That was pretty awesome.

lol I've been lucky enough to be treated to that kind of experience by an ex too, only I was playing C&C, something about a good BJ and good strategy just work together...

but alas, the most fun I've ever had gaming must have been clocking all of the original Lego Star Wars game with a mate at a 350 person lan, that was simply a lot of fun.

I really enjoyed surviving the "spiderant alley" in Borderlands. A good five to ten minutes of intense spiderant spamming in one little area. It's especially fun with a revolver!

EDIT:
I found this video of the area with all the spiderants. It's not me playing, but you get the idea.
