27" and only 1080 in the y? Those pixels must be the size of lego bricks.

What's with the ridiculous price?

Spend 1k and get a real monitor like a 30" IPS 2560x1600 ultrasharp.

To bad is not glossy or half glossy!
Regarding the dott pitch, I'm using a 27 incher Dell with 1920x1200 and the image is crystal sharp.

P.S.

I have found out BY EXPERIENCE that people that never used a 27" monitor with 1920x... think about it that the dottpitch is to big, or the resolution is to low. Use one, then complain. ;)

i've got a 1080p 46", and the dot pitch is too big.

on a smaller screen, it'll be just fine.

I never use contrast ratio as a measure for quality, especially Dynamic. That one you're linking doesn't look spectacular to me.

As for the topic monitor. I am curious as to what type of panel it is. I wish it was 16.10, but its lower contrast ratio, 6.5ms, and other things make me think its a PVA of some type? Anyone know for sure?

If not then its a blatant waste of money.

The bigger the screen the longer the distance you need to stay from it. But 46 is almost double than a 27 incher, so....;)

That applies only to CRT displays and TVs (due to the hazard to the eyes) ;)

my comment didnt quite get the reaction i expected.

some people say 1080p is too low for a 27", well shit, you get that res on 50"+ HDTV's!

its only too big, if you sit too close to it. get the right size for your distance, and its all good.

I wasn't talking about radiation hazard. It's all about your eyes filed of view. You need a proper distance in order to have the full line of view from your monitor without moving your head. In other words, if you move your head from right to left when reading a text on your monitor instead of just your eyes, it absolutely means that you are staying to close to the monitor. I find out than you need at least half of meter distance from a 24" monitor, and way more if you have a bigger size one ;)
Also you can find out those things if you're working in a Company where 8-9 hours/day you're staying in front of PC. It's called "Work Ergonomy" and they teach you this on "Work Safety" class before starting work for the first-time. :ohwell: ...
