Help connect Xbox 360 to New TV

Okay so I bought a New LED TV

LG 32LE5300

I have an extra Xbox 360 in the house so I wanted to plug it in there.
I have no component cable and the xbox 360 is old and does not have hdmi ports.

so I use the VGA Cable.(I play on a monitor + speakers)

I want to use the TV's speakers.

I tried to plug it in. the VGA to the VGA port, and the left/right sound jacks(RCA)

however I can't seem to combine them both.:banghead:

If I select in the options the Input as VGA, it displays the video.
Then if I select AV, it plays the sound.:shadedshu

I there any way I could make the TV output both Video/Audio by just using the VGA HD cable from the Xbox 360? :cry:

Please Help. or do I need to buy a component cable. :(

There has to be seperate audio ports for the VGA connecter.

Reading the manual for your TV it seems there is a single jack for RGB audio input just above the VGA connector. That is where you need to plug the sound into, though with it being just a single jack I have a feeling it is expecting a SPD/IF signal.

below the vga theres a litte hole thats says RGB/DVI. is that it?

It will most likely be a standard 3.5mm audio jack. You could look at getting an adapter that combines the red & white phono plugs into one stereo 3.5mm plug. Maplins is usually the best place for that, it's where my brother got his.

Like the other guy(s) said, you need a left & right (red & white) phono to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter ;)
