Another fuckup by ATI, what a surprise :rolleyes:

RAM clocks go down to 300MHz if you overclock which causes a shitload of issues with dual-monitor setups. I thought they had it fixed, I guess they thought it was a good idea to undo that fix.

More proof that brain-dead monkeys run ATI driver department.

Indeed another fuck up...I just downloaded them thinking it would get rid of the issues I was having with 10.11 but it made it worse. As soon as I launch a game or benchmark, I lose display connection and my monitor goes black. Tried Ctrl+Alt+Del and my computer wasn't responsive at all. Fuck these gay drivers man

I couldn't even install 10.11 for that matter! I'm back to 10.10e.

I don't get how they can release this. Don't they have QA?

Every time a new driver comes out I'm afraid to even install it! All this makes me want to go green the next time.

because 10.10e are newer than 10.11, the AMD installers wont let you downgrade. you have to uninstall, delete the newer install folder, reboot, and then install the version you want.

10.12 (new CCC or not) are starting to look pretty crap, IMO.

we have a thread on these in the news like we do for every release, so we might as well have the discussion there.

No, it wouldn't let me install because of errors, GSOD and BSOD. In other words, they are crap.

Like I said in the news thread, I'm experiencing corrupter textures (mostly road textures) in nfs Hot pursuit... anyone else (10.12+ccc2 on HD3850)?

Other games seems perfect, but they are a bit old (guild wars, mass effect 1-2)

With previous installed drivers, i had perfect graphics (catalyst 9.12)

Lol as usual sometimes staying with the drivers which work best with your card are the best to stay with for another month.

Seems to be the whole AMD deal as it has always been like that with ATi.

I'm using the 10.12's with ccc2 preview and have no major problems besides the overclocked memory with dual display bug that's already been mentioned. I don't classify that as major problem because while it's something AMD could have caught, it's not a stock setting. Some games are picky about memory overclocks anyway.

Overall with the 10.10 hotfixes for 68xx cards, 10.11's for older cards and 10.12's it seems to be a case of trying to do too much at the same time.

I think I have some issue 'cause my vga is a bit old (3+ years for my hd3850) and in fact support is already finished... even if latest catalyst is formally compatible but optimised for latest vga.

What gets me is that ATI seems to be putting out drivers really fast and that has me thinking maybe I should just wait . I have 10.11 and they are great with the 2 cards in cf . I am thinking of waiting till XFX puts them on there site for real .

For me, regardless of what driver version I'm using, if they work and work well there is no need to update them.

Yeah I get what you are saying but when they put drivers out aren't they supposed to improve the performance of the cards you have ? I always wondered if they just keep putting them out for fun to see how many will DL them . :banghead:

But some times I have seen real improvement like I seen a nice jump in BM from 10.8 to the 10.11 I have now . Not much maybe 5 FPS more but even then drivers are technically supposed to improve the over all performance , Right ?

I have not noticed any problems with the 10.12 on my XP box.

The 10.11 and 10.12 have an technical bug on the overdrive screen ...

With the 10.10 you was able to adjust the memory MHZ as low as 80MHz

With the lasted packages , the minimum looks to be the 1200MHz with Max the 1445 .

I haven't had any problems installing and using these drivers either, and for some reason this has fixed the black boxes appearing around objects when I try to force AA in Mass Effect. That said, I've NEVER had problems with ATI's drivers with my 4850 or 4870.

useless driver... good fps though, but still many problems with crossfire (got 2xhd5830). I use 10.10e which gives me best quality with still decent fps (BC2 45-110fps (I use VS) MSAAx4, AFx16, maxed out, 1680x1050). the 10.12 and 11.11 is 5 fps + at leat but it makes my cards do weird things to textures (flickering textures, black intermittend screens). I wish they use 10.10e as a base for 11.0 or they will come up with something completely new, which I doubt. The new interface is more windows7-like and as useless as the driver. I hope they will give me a fix for source engine games. i can't play them in crossfire mode/AFR.

Installed 10.12 last night, everything working (with the new CCC preview) EXCEPT I do not have overdrive anymore.... am I missing something here? Did a complete unistall of all previous drivers/CCC etc etc before this install.
