Well, Im finally looking to upgrade my mouse. Im not sure about logitech. I like the mice they have but I remember how much I liked Razer Mice too. I know I am definately getting a Logitech Trackman Wireless ( Battery life of 18 months) to replace the old one I have that the usb cable broke within the cable.
I would love the Razer Mamba but it is still like $130.
Please, I have a G5 right now and would like to upgrade. I need help, I don't want to drop x dollars and regret it.

Well, I had/have a mamba and changed it out for a naga. Nothing to do with the performance, it's a great mouse. My only complaint is it's a bit small for my size 14 ring finger hand. I was not a fan of the grip surface, it felt forever slick in a way that made it seem like my hand was sweaty but the dpi was crazy.

The naga's small too but the way I have to hold it to hit the hotkeys makes it irrelevant.

I liked the logitech g9 and they're pretty reasonably priced but just not enough buttons. Couldn't find anyone still selling it but here's a newegg link.

For what it's worth if you don't need more than 5 programmable buttons, this is a mouse I'd consider checking out. Haven't used it but it looks like something I'd love to check out. Saitek cyborg rat 5, not a bad price either.

I intend to post up the Naga & the g9 on the forums in the near future. I'm not going to hijack the thread but if you're interested in a deal on either, pm me.

I love the heck out of my G500, which would probably feel nice to you if you are currently using a G5. It has 10 buttons, and is pretty reasonably priced. I think Mussells has the same mouse, and also likes it.

Logitech G500 10 Buttons Dual-mode Scroll Wheel US...

On a side note, I'm sorry that I can be a real pecker head, sometimes.

Razer DeathAdder is pretty crazy. I just got one today. 3500dpi. Programmable side buttons. Change the glow settings of the mice, it's pretty good and looks quite sexy. Any good Razer, Logitech mice will give you benefit.

The Razer Deathadder has to be my favorite mouse, I have gone through three of them and keep coming back. The best feeling mouse I have ever used, highly recommended. :)

No problem. I have Asperger's disorder and have a hard time reading social cues.
Highway should have remembered that being he was my old roommate.

I kinda like my G5, but i have large hands and the mouse always feels like its riding on my fingertips. Kinda like I don't have full control of the mouse.

After I posted that I found there's a rat 7 (corded) & rat 9 (wireless) as well but only slightly different than the 5. If you do get it, definitely post here and let us know what you think.

I got the RAT 9 for Xmas, and it's brilliant, the only real problem I have, is that the batteries fit very securely....a bit too securely, so replacing them takes longer than I'd like. Apart from that I really recommend it.

I think I want a palm mouse style. I know Im getting the Razer IronClad Mouse surface! I have large hands so, I like a full grip. The RAT is nice, the Mamba looks great but what about Batt life? I realize with the Mamba I can just plug it in. I wish there was someplace where I can see in on display and like feel it in my hand. I love the RAT sniper button. I wish the Razer or Logitech had one like it. The main beef I have with my G5 is when I press button 5 on the thumb (the longer one) to knife someone, there is like a 1-2 second lag between when I press it and when it actually happens (kinda crucial in a knife fight.)

steelseries xai is nice, you could on both hand but it looks simple.
Rat is nice too, that is one product that impressive, and they match the title 'cyborg' with the mouse

Yeah, that's why I don't like Razer. VERY Cheaply made, I've gone through 4 Death Adders, kept getting defective scroll wheels.

I've been using the Logitech G9 for a while now, and I love it. The wide case really suits my big hands. It's comfy, durable, and reliable.

If you are looking for big mouse, you might want to check out the Sidewinder mice by Microsoft. It might be more of a downgrade, but it is a big mouse. I have average sized hands, and I find it quite large when I started using it.

Well, Ive tried the G9 and it felt really small in my hands. Im not sure why you've had problems with your razer mice. I had a copperhead for 4 years and it died from water damage after someone spilled a soda on it.

If you are looking for big mouse, you might want to check out the Sidewinder mice by Microsoft. It might be more of a downgrade, but it is a big mouse. I have average sized hands, and I find it quite large when I started using it.

Yeah it would be a major downgrade.

hmm. I kinda like the look of the sentinel but Id have to see it in person. As Im writing this Kittensprinkles is in the background here screaming at his computer. Literally. It is sad. and annoying.

If the RAT 7 has good reviews and I were to see one in person, I might buy it just for the customization (and the sniper button). The Mamba if I could test it. The Deathadder too.
I used the razer mouse configurator to find a mouse and the number one selection was the Mamba then the imperiator. razer's gaming surface configurator said the IronClad was the best solution too. Why can't logitech have something like that?

The Sentinel is nice; also for a large hander wanting a palm grip the QPAD 5K is nice. It's more of a name over in Europe, but after playing with it some I really liked it. Unfortunately, my wife didn't so it has to go. :(

I've not yet had a good experience with any Razer mice, have a couple laying around here (deathadder, mamba, naga, orochi and lachesis). I am however, in love with my Alienware Tactx (logitech g9x). Haven't had any problems with it (not even worn pads), and find myself always going back to it when I get a new mouse from my damn impulse buying. It is the most comfortable mouse I've ever had the pleasure of using (I prefer it over my g9x).
