It's ultimately your decision whether or not the IPhone 4 is right for you. It's hard for me to convince you to get something if i don't know what you would like to do with it.

From a power user standpoint, Android based phones are generally the sweet spot, though IOS does use a very sleek and simple UI with ''good enough'' functionally for most people on the phones. Though with the large base of Android phones you should definitely take a look in their direction for a moment, as you can really find a phone that suits your needs and possibly for a better price then the handful of devices that use IOS.

Don't want to make this into an Android vs IOS debate though, if you are really dead set on going with an IPhone 4, i say go for it, if it matches your needs and price then i don't see what anyone can convince you of. What is it exactly that you are unsure/unconvinced of that's preventing you from getting the phone?, because then we will be able to really get down to what's the right option for you.

Yeah, but if you want the maximum uptime for your phone, iPhone 4 is far superiour to DHD and Nexus S. Also in the battery front, my friends charge their Nexus(Galaxy) S and D HD every evening with light-mid use, while iPhone 4 users charge every 2 days or so.

the one thing iphone has going for is the accessories. You can find more cases / chargers /doodads for iphone then any other phone on the market.

I have both android and ios. i couldn't choose one so i got both.

apple has more games and apps. but at the same time they have been around the longest.

android is catching up, but its still a distance away. so the real question is do you want to play with apple now, or wait for android to catch up?

yes that is a downside - but a day is a bit exaggerated. i have to charge every 3 days or so.

but with a 1ghz cpu in your palm, 3 days per charge is good for me

they must have put out updates to the phone. a freind of mine had it when it 1st came out. with bluetooth\wifi\4g\push notifications disabled they were averaging 18 hours.

my phone (hd2) was the same way (its almost exactly like the evo, just doesnt support sprints network)

i know when i first got android on there i had about 15 hours of battery. now i get 4 days with updates

yes, several actually. when i got it it was going about 2 days a charge, with the newest FW (2.0.71) , i get about 3 days per charge
