3D Mark 11 has never reported the speed of my card at all using any driver. When I check my results the core and memory clocks are shown as 0/0. Why is it doing that?

*head explodes* it's not even for those cards!

lol
WHAT IS THIS SHIT! THESE DRIVERS DESIGNED AS A BETA FOR SPECIFIC CARDS DOES NOTHING FOR MY TOTALY UNRELATED CARDS !ARFGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crazyness dude :p

Now if these were 5770 drivers and they didn't work maybe you could complain about "getting this shit fixed".

Maybe if the drivers didn't work for the majority of people that use them as well :p

What the fuck are you talking about ? I just don't get it . :twitch:
First off these drivers are not going to give any support to the HD5XXX user this is stated in the OP . I am pissed off that the 10.12 drivers suck fucking ass ! Was hoping they would have some thing for us HD5XXX users see that they do not and am pissed off for that ! When I hear things like this it makes me wonder why I bought this crap in the first place . Oh yeah because I had to ! For some reason nVidia fucked us LGA775 users all to hell ! But next build is nVidia for sure !
Oh BTW the link in the OP is no longer working ! So as far as getting to try these out ? You can't any longer .

Dude, your card has been out for like 2 years and pretty much works great. Why don't you chill the fuck out. And do aging cards really get so much better driver support from NV?

Was somewhat intoxicated whilst posting, excuse the over the top .

The 10.12s were 6k series aimed as well right? I know you are, but using the older drivers is what your supposed to be doing anyway.

Drivers are kinda like bioses. change em if you need to but don't bother if it's not bringing a boost for what you have/use.

And it's just the betas that supposedly don't support anything other then 6xxx series. I haven't seen anything that states the official 11.1 or 11.1a will support only the 6xxx......
I uploaded them to multiupload and posted a link to the download on page 4.... But here it is again..... http://www.multiupload.com/SQRQQ26IIV

The drivers for your card are mature. There's probably nothing more they could out of it in terms of extra performance. You got support for your card from the time it was new, now it's time for the HD6000 owners to get theirs. There's nothing unfair about it at all except in your own mind. I guess the poor guys still stuck with x1900 cards should complain that there's no Windows 7 driver for their cards at all.

I have 5850 and they work 10 times better then the older ones.
usually I had to oc my card to play on higher resolution but thats history since ccc2 and the eastcoasthandle modding guide!
just today installed the 11.1a and they are even better than 10.12:)
everything is working great mlaa and the eqaa!
so really where is the problem?

Blimy seems theres a lot of agro rearding these new drivers. Im not going to install them untill they are officially released but if they offer more performance for any card then brilliant, but if they are only meant for the 6900 series (because of different arc) then if they dont work for some cards no complaints eh. Theres only so much some drivers can mature and the 6900 arc is newish

I'm liking 11.1 so far. Have to test more and bench but think I notice some IQ improvement. Need to experiment with tessellation slider too.

First thing... 6 months your GPU / Video Card is lagging. 1 year gets no support.
2 years .... better start thinking UpGrade. 3 years Technology is out of date.
4 years just Buzzing around in an Obsolete Desktop Computer. 5 years little kids toy.

Ever since AMD took over ATI ...idea is to push unfeasible cards into the market so the consumer can spend money on an Unproven Product. We became the companies testers and/or R&D dept. Don't like to be the Experiment. Don't buy the Product.

Microsoft has been doing this since 1998 after giving us Windows 98se.

WinME, 2000, XP, Vista, now Win 7 (5 OSes in 10 years ) and soon be Windows 8.

nVidia has done well keeping up ..but even here we see changes.

How Fast can they push the consumer to buy into the New and watch Profits rise.

Let's start using our brains and do thing the Old Fashion way.
Computers = loss jobs = more Poor People.
Remember ..People make the World go round ..not computers !

Stop complaining about your computer ... get a job ... let some one else fix it for you.

Alright ... this Topic was suppose to be on Catalyst 11.1a when it becomes available.
Hopefully it will fix several issues .. which ones I do not know.

So far Catalyst 10.12 is for the birds makes some cards fly other cards flop under its driver.
Most of us grounded/stuck as still in need of a good operational and reliable driver.

Does this release of 11.1a having working profiles?

IE. In the 10.xx set I had a profile setup for extended desktop and one setup for eyefinity with hotkeys so I could switch between the two on the fly. I didn't see profiles in the earlier release of 11.1a, and the hotkey preferences options didn't seem to work (at least for changing from eyefinity to extended desktop and vice verse)...

This has nothing to do with the topic at hand. My condolences that you can't get an ATi driver to work correctly. The majority of people do, however that isn't the topic of this thread.

Please keep on topic.

I can never install these hotfixes. If I install it with the 10.12's installed it says drivers allready up to date. If I unistall 10.12 then try these it cant find a supported card. Is there some trick? I have a Gigabyte 6850 and Vista Ultimate x64. It would be nice if someone can help.

I have MSI R6870 Twin Frozr II Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 same.. uninstall 10.12 and 3Dmark 11 and Unigine Heaven 2.1 say I have an Unsupported DirectX 11 card/ No DirectX 11 compatible Hardware Found.

DXDiag indicates I have DirectX 11, GPU-Z 5.0 says I have 8.801 (Cat 10.12) Driver when I Restart/ Boot Up my computer but until I run- reinstall cat 10.12 both above benchmarks will not run.

my OS: Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP2.

1) Windows/Control Panel/Programs and Features ..Uninstall CCC.
2) Delete all AMD and ATI Folders in Programs Folder.
3) Delete items inside Prefetch Folder.
4) Goto Device Manager , Display , Video Card and Uninstall Driver.
5) Download if you don't have it Driver Sweeper, check the ATI Display box and run it.
6) Restart computer. Windows Standard VGA driver should install.
7) Install whatever driver then Hot Fix.
DL Driver independently ( as Stand Alone) and Install Display Driver. Don't use whole Catalyst package or trying to Check Driver box in Catalyst.

If you cant install drivers your system is screwed. I've never had a problem installing or uninstalling drivers for 10 years of using ATI cards, and i always update every driver.

All i do is go to control panel/Programs and features and uninstall ATI. When the driver GUI loads choose "express uninstall all ATI software" then reboot when asked.

When you're back in windows install the drivers and reboot.

I've never had to delete individual folders or muck around with anything else.

If you cant do that your system is screwed/corrupted, you could spend hours/days/weeks complaining about it on various forums or you could spend an hour reinstalling your windows. Its really not hard to reinstall, if you know how to backup your stuff.

Too many people dont install windows properly, and/or dont have the right chipset software whatever and it causes problems.

You gotta use your brain, how many experienced users have a problem with their ATI drivers? Look at all the hundreds of reviews on ATI cards on the net, how many reviewers couldnt install the driver? None.

It really frustrates me reading all this nonsense every time a driver comes out, i gaurantee 95% of the problems is user error.

the problem is those bloody driver cleaner tools, 9 times out of 10 people use it instead of the uninstaller and it fucks things up, when they should ONLY be using it when the uninstaller didnt work right.
