I'm randomly musing about things, trying to figure out what I can snag on a limited budget. Here's a few things I'd like to get.

- Some inexpensive DDR2 desktop memory. Don't really care about the speed or capacity too much, just need it to test stuff.
- S775 motherboard, preferably uATX with DDR3 support (though not totally a dealbreaker if it's DDR2)
- An ATX12V power supply. Nothing fancy, but would prefer at least one PCIe connector just in case. 400w-ish should be fine.

- A current low profile video card, preferably a 5570 or a GT430 on the cheap. I *may* consider a Radeon 4650 or similar if it's exceptionally cheap.
- I'm dreaming, but I'd like to grab a Nook Color. Again, cost is key, since if I really wanted to spend the money I'd just take a trip down to B&N and buy one retail.
- **inexpensive** 1TB+ SATA drives. If you can't tell, I'm sort of building a server.
- *CHEAP* SD card. 2GB+, size/speed doesn't matter much, just need something for my daughter's camera that she got for xmas.
- AAA NiMH rechargable batteries. Need at least two, but could definitely use more.
- Coolermaster GeminiiS or similar QUIET low profile heatsink with LGA1156 support. The stock intel sink is just a bit too loud.

Check back occasionally, as I may be looking for something else in the near future.

I've got a lot of the stuff you need (not sure if uATX and mATX are the same or similar), but I've got an mATX board, DDR2, and an HD 4650.

Link to my thread: [FS][US] Big Sale: CPU's, Mobo's, RAM, Video cards...

I'll cut down on pricing if you buy 2+ items, plus I'll PM you :).

This made me laugh.

That's good to hear. I've been ignored a lot lately when I msg people about their WTB threads. I don't know how people can be so inconsiderate when people take time out of their day to msg someone with a WTB thread. Anyway, I'm just anxious because I need a little bit more money before I can buy a Sandy Bridge platform :wtf:.

I've got three 500GB drives I need to list if you're willing to go a little smaller.

Hey SunnyD, I have a couple of Western Digital Caviar Black 750GB drives in my for sale thread:

[FS][US] Watercooling & parts, parts, and more par...

They would be some great drives for a server if using RAID!!!

Hmm, Caviar Blacks are nice and all, but I'm looking for pure archive storage, meaning the only raid I'm looking at is RAID1. Blacks are a wee bit overkill.

I've got three 500GB drives I need to list if you're willing to go a little smaller.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to hold out for 1TB plus. With as fast as my wife is taking pictures/videos now, smaller drives fill up fast.

Other than that, got a couple leads on PSU's, but nothing firm yet. Just looking for something cheap to throw in the closet to test with and/or run a minimal system.

Found a PSU thanks to Newegg's Shell Shocker deal. Also looking for a spare SD card and some NiMH AAA batteries and a Big Shuriken or Geminii S.
