PCI-E Connector Question

OK TPU I need some help once again I have a Corsair TX850w PSU and I need to know some thing . The 6 pin PCE-E connector on the PSU has 3 yellow wires and 3 black ones are the 3 yellow wires all the same positive power ? or are they all different voltage ?

The first one is actually 1.368VAC, the second one is the square root of Pi in a sawtooth wave.

Just kidding.

They're all +12VDC. Multiple wires are used to lower the resistance and provide more current (amps) safely.

Yeah me too . I was thinking man WTH ?? :twitch:

The reason for this question is simple I am powering my TEC/WB off of this now till my Meanwell S-320-12 PSU arrives , I was using a single yellow wire and well it was hot very hot ! I figure if I could use this ( One PCI-E power connector ) it would stop that from getting so hot and ( Thanks to all of YOU ) it has . Now it is running great !

Nicely spotted, you avoided a potential MASS disaster there... Dustyshiv had savage problems on a mobo from overloading wires (if that's the correct term)

Yeah now all is well . Can't wait till the meanwell arrives ! I want to give this thing 13 volts

Should give me more cooling till I get the new 400W TEC to insert into the WB ! :rockout:
