Max Temp and Which Temp To look at in Gpuz

Gpuz has four Temps.

GPU Temp
Temp #1
Temp #2
Temp #3

They read

GPU Temp= Max (load) 81C
Temp #1= Max (load) 81C
Temp #2= Max (load) 89C
Temp #3= Max (load) 81C

Which one is accurate? the 81C or 89C and are these temps safe?

I'm currently pushing my card to its limits *Hopefully safe limits and I just want to be sure.

I've raised the volts just below 1.300 so that on load it hits 1.2938 and VDDC is 57%

Am I good or am I killing the card? I'll most likely have it running 24/7 like this if its safe. I can understand a lower life expectancy from daily usage but is this to extreme?

Not bad really . I would have to say you are in the safe zone . My cards get hot too , I have seen 90c max load at times .

Volts are good too? And which one are you going off of on my list 81 or 89?

I'm just used to it running low 70s so now that I'm pushing it I am concerned.

gpu temp is the same as reported in CCC i believe, the others are like VRM, Mem, possibly, dont quote me, and yea, temps your about at the upper limit of the safe zone, id mostly think about only increasing the volts when you game/need to rather than 24/7, should only take a second to dial that in, and depending on what program you use, most do offer profiles, so could save gaming settings in one and just switch real fast

I'm running a program that use 99% of my GPU so thats why its running hot.

Otherwise when the program is not running temps are 40C

So the limits 90C ?

im not 100% the limit is 90C, but id say its a safe place to want to consider your high, as with the volts that i mentioned not running 24/7 is despite the temps not being high, it doesnt mean that the volts arent having a negative effect (again, dont quote me on this) on the chip, plus by locking in the volts at 1.3 24/7, the card will be drawing more power overall 24/7, not sure who pays your electric bill, but i wouldnt be surprised if the difference is noticeable

No I understand. Again its only 1.3 on load when running aforementioned program.

Otherwise its 1.1437V on 2D.

So I guess 90 is the max. Phew... Good then, I was a bit worried my 81 was the frying it. Only down side now is the 88% fan rate to keep it at 81C on Full load.

I would have to agree with dark2099 you are at the upper limit and 24/7 temps like this will have an adverse affect at some point and time . but keeping the temps at 90c and that amount of voltage for any real length of time is going to cause degradation of the GPU it's self and the RAM as well . I would say that your best bet is to keep the voltage normal and just oc the card from that point . Personally I have never messed with any of my video cards voltage ever . It is just not worth having to buy a new card at today's prices JMHO .
