AMD HD6970 @ MOD-Bios [vGPU] - Question

Hello.

I have a xfx hd6970. I tested this card with 1.15V [MSI-Afterburner] successful @ 950/1450.
So I thought to change the gpu-voltage @ bios with rbe 1.27
(from 1.175 to 1.15)

After i saved the modified bios i tried to flash my card - without success - i got the message that the rom can not be deleted.

Finally I found this command: atiwinflash -unlockrom 0
After that I could finally flash this card with the mod bios.

After the reboot i tested it out...
Now gpu-z still shows 1.175V, but msi afterburner shows 1.15V ?!
What is correct?

GPU-Z does not show real voltage from graphics card. MSI Afterburner does. I have changed voltage on my HD6950 to 1.2V and MSI AB shows 1.2V and GPU-Z 1.1V (default voltage for HD6950).

Nothing to worry about.

HMMM was it a big jump from 5850 to 6950??

you mean from 5850 to 6970... Yes it was more than i thought!
with my 5850 @ 950 / 1180 i had around 170 fps in BF BC2
now i have around 200 fps (6970 @ 950/1450)

I wouldnt have bought it but i got the card for 225 euro!

And it was a good invest because i just got a bigger screen
