noticable difference between stat pagefile and flash usb?

thinking of getting a flash usb drive, nothing fancy just a 1gb usb drive to store my page file on, is there gonna be any noticeable difference than having my pagefile on a seperate sata 150 hdd as i have at the moment ?

I think that having a pagefile on a USB drive is supposed to be bad for performance...

Well a pagefile is basically used as RAM, as you know RAM needs to be accessed fast. USB both lacks access times and bandwidth. Do your own math.

ok blow that idea, im building my new rig soon anyway (current one on fleabay yippeeeeee :laugh: ) , just thinking of somthing to spend my £40 argos gift vouchers i got as a gift on lol :rockout: might just go with a divx dvd player.

they are bad, but easy to install and have many uses, mine runs small games like gta and suchlike no problems however i wouldnt recomend this!!! its to have your games on a fixed drive!!

watching films playing music no problem!i would say its about half he speed of a ide, thats what it feels like!altho mine is full! make surde you get one with a fan aswell as they do get warm, and you dont want data loss!

usb flash drive with a fan, enlighten me, is this some kind of mini pixie fan :roll:
