Man this looks great. I absolutely love the direction they went with the audio. I find that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is too cinematic and not enough realistic. It sounds constantly muffled and the smoke everywhere makes the gameplay very... vague? I don't know how to explain it, but whatever it is they fixed it in Battlefield 3.

I hope I can run it at max though, I'd rather not have to crossfire or replace a GPU after buying $1100 worth of processor, memory and motherboard hardware.

It looks like it will actually have a GOOD single player campaign. I literally bought BF2 and BF2142 ONLY for their online play. I played BF2's single player for 30 minutes maybe. I have never, and will never, play the Bad Company games because they're not Battlefield (IMO).

I have to disagree. The audio in BFBC2, especially with war tapes is some of the best I have heard and I'm only using onboard sound but with relatively decent speakers.

Granted though, this trailer is effin awesome and will be THE game to make me upgrade my graphics card and monitor methinks. :cool:

First shooting with M16 + ACOG it looked like the guns might actually have some recoil, then they showed the SAW + reflex...all I could do was shake my head and laugh. If you're hoping BF3 is going to be anything more than a watered down console port like BC2 don't get your hopes up.

I'm getting tired of games being born on the PC as BRILLIANT titles, and then the consoles take it over and it becomes the worst game ever to hit the shelves. (Call of Duty 4+)

Its been stated that the Frostbite 2.0 engine for PC is DX 10 and 11 only although they list PS3 and XBOX 360 as other platforms http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frostbite_Engine#Frostbite_2.0.

Maybe that means a watered down console version? I'd really like to see a pure PC game supported with patches and such. Especially if they're thinking of going back to BF2's standards.

I couldn't imagine trying to fly a jet on a 360 controller.

Really?

Back in my Jet Fighter Pilot hey-days on BF2, I was racking up monster scores flying Jets with a PS2 pad (via USB converter).

I fail to see how a control setup could have possibly been improved upon for the flight component of BF2.

truthfully though,fot r$20 - pinnacle game profiler is awesome.
I cannot overstate enough how cool that program is.

i can play pc only games,without complicated console-unfriendly UIs , and make them work perfectly with a controller. sims, minecraft, war and blade, total war series, etc - PC only games , working GREAT with a lazy 360 controller

you can program multiple key presses, multi-step operations, switch keys, rapid fire, toggle, etc.

I understand the whole $20 is money, but it is well worth it if you EVER use a controller on your pc. HIGHLY, HIGHLY, recommended.
