Game registration problem

So I just bought the Crysis package on Steam for only $10.

After downloading and installing Crysis 1, it keeps telling me to enter a registration code.

The code is in the field, yet when I try to continue, it keeps saying to re-enter the code.

Did Steam just give me an INVALID CD-Key?

Email steam customer support.

OR just run the game, somehow. Knowing full well you've paid for it.

Wouldn't throw a fit over it, just talk to customer support and it'll get fixed, thats what they are there for.

otherwise as the others say - send an email to support because you will not get ripped off.

This kind of thing happens almost every time they have a huge discount on a popular title :laugh:

(not enough serials for the massive demand or similar)

It'll get sorted soon, and sending them (customer service) an e-mail will help too

Thanks guys. Just e-mailed support. I guess all I gotta do is wait.

I'm just very surprised, as I don't buy games on Steam.

This is only my third time purchasing from Steam.

Right click on it in steam, click view game CD Key, then copy paste that. I had an issue like that before and getting the key from there fixed it.

I have never had any issues like that at all and I tend to pick up all of my games on Steam, discounted.

I've never had it happen to me, neither, as when I buy discounted stuff, I tend to buy it as soon as the promotion starts

But, friends that bought the games near the end of discount offers did have problems a couple of times (though, the problems did get sorted out soon)

I tried everything possible to solve this issue on my own.
I even followed some guidelines on the Steam website.

Still no luck. I think I just have a bad CD-Key.

Only way to fix is by Steam giving me a brand new Key.
