Quick question,

I'm a console gamer at heart but i gotta stray after seeing that Battlefield 3 trailer. I'm just in the beginning stages of piecing together a gaming pc and been researching on graphics cards.

Would you advise to wait until at least Sept or Oct to purchase a new graphics card for the game or would some of the newer cards like the GeForce 560 work just fine on it. I'm trying to play games at true 1080p, nothing more.

Main game I want to be able to play with the card would be Battlefield 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Rage, maybe the new COD, and probably some old pc games i missed like the Crysis.

All responses and opinions are appreciated

When do you plan on actually building the PC? If its not going to be until the fall then the answer is obvious. If you are building soon then a 560ti or whatever would make a good gaming card.

I plan on getting it done by mid june to early july. I just don't wanna spend $200+ on a card that actually run what i want it to you know.

I'm definitely sold on the 2500 processor, best bang for the buck and pretty solid for the future right now, thanks

yep for mid range cards it would run fine except you run on insane resolution, dual monitor and so

Well nobody really knows how demanding BF3 is going to be yet. Plus gaming at 1080p will use lots of vram if you want to turn the eyecandy up. Overclocking will help though at that res. As far as the other games you listed, the 560ti should work great. Just take a look at Wizzard's reviews and maybe go over to hardwarecanucks too. An overclocked 560ti can be quite impressive!
