Alright guys I am looking for a new mouse.
Primarily d for gaming (I am tired of this Microsoft one losing battery life constantly)

I found G5 for $35 and I also found a G7 mouse for $55.
I already have a G5 and I love it (for the other computer).
But I was wondering how is the G7 (are there little to no hiccups and is it good as a wireless mouse).
Also, are there any other mouse's that are worth looking at.

Hmmm which one to buy :)

Yea I got a G5 too for my other rig.
Very nice mouse and all.
I am just wondering if the G7 is worth an extra $20 or not.
I also saw the Mx1000 and the MX580 (I believe thats what it is called).
Which would be better?

mx1000 is garbage for gaming, had one, replaced it with this x750, which is not just a lame ripoff of a lame mouse :p.

Alright guys was looking around and I am getting one of these:

Logitech G5 Mouse
Logitech MX518 Mouse
Logitech G7 Mouse

Pretty much I am siding with the G5, but saw some good stuff on the MX518.
Any help?

i have the mx1000 and it works just fine for gaming. If you play cs:s it does go to sleep on you and you might get yourself killed. so if you do play cs:s then you got to move it every so often. so it may not be for you.

Hmmm, yea I wasnt really going to go with the G7.
It is really between the G5 and MX518.
The only reason I was thinking the G5 was bc I can get it for $5 cheaper than the MX518.

there's not a lot of difference in performance between the g5 and the mx518, if the g5's cheaper id go for that

the microsoft/razer habu (reviewed on this site) looks cool though

Ok I have limited it down to 2.
It is between the Logitech G5 or the Razer Diamondback Blue Gaming Mouse.

The Logitech is $35 and the Razer is $50.

I am looking at these bc I am using gift cards for these mice. (No money spent :))

$50 for the razer? sounds a bit high to me...where are you getting it at that price? around here the copperhead goes for $50, but it sucks balls...

the diamondback is a great mouse...but the G5 will be more comfortable to use...its taller then the diamondback and fits your hand better....took me a while to get use to this diamondback...but now that i am i can't go to anything else...lol

all you really need to look for when it comes to buying a 'gaming' mouse:

does it have 800+ dpi?
is it comfortable?

the dpi really doesnt need to go beyond 800. its better to play with lower sensetivity and buy a LARGE mouse pad(17in or more). dont be fooled by the 'gaming' mouse advertisements. if the mouse is comfortable, and you can esily play for hours on end then it should be fine. just dont go below 800dpi

yeah i have that too
idk if they still make them, but if you can find one, they are comfortable and probably not very expensive. 800dpi

just get a big mouse pad and play fps with a low sensetivity with mousefix. youll be fine

the scroll on these mice vary. sometimes they are stiff and othertimes they are very light and spin quickly. mine is more stiff, i like that better for b hopping reasons. my friends is very light and seems to spin much more esily with less effort. the same is true withe the mx518. but, you can get used to pretty much anything over time.

this was a very popular gaming mouse a couple of years ago...

Go G7 or MX-510 I do not think you will be disappointed.I went from the 510 to the G7 and thought it was a "so-so" upgrade,...until I read about it's firmware update. Then it was like night and day!!
BE ADVISED,....IF YOU GO G7,...BE SURE TO DO THE FIRMWARE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It turned a good mouse into a GREAT one for me.Now, I can mouse on a $3.99 mouse pad and it feels like I am on a "pro surface" mouse-pad.On a nice pad,..I can literally move by the pixel
when I am sniping.;)
The wife got my 510 and I still use it occasionally and it is smooth as well and looks cool doing it!
