hi guys..
I just wanna buy a pc. I go to IBUYPOWER.COM and i built what pc

CASE: NZXT GAMMA CASE BLACK
PROCESSOR: INTEL CORE I7 960 3.2 GHZ
IBUYPOWER POWER DRIVE LEVEL 2 - UP TO 20% OVERCLOCKING
PROCESSOR COOLING : LIQUID COOLING SYSTEM (STANDARD 120MM FAN)
MEMORY: 6GB (2GBX3 DDR3 1600 CORSAIR)
VIDEO CARD: AMD RADEON HD 9650 2GB
MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R
POWER SUPPLY: 800 WATT - STANDARD



PLZ GIVE ME YOUR ADVICE..

get a sandy bridge.... not nehalem.

Your build should look something like this:

Case: Your choice
Processor: i5 2500K if you are overclocking, 2500 if not
Motherboard: Any P67/Z68 board which is decent and provide the features you need, too many in the market
Ram: Any reasonable sticks about 1600mhz CL8 or similar, 2x2Gb for cheap solution, 2x4Gb if you have some money to spend. Rams are pretty cheap compared to 1 year ago
HDD: Reasonably fast 500Gb/1TB of any legit brand, WD will be Blacks, Samsung non-eco etc.
Graphics card: AMD 6950 or Nvidia 560Ti depending on which one you like GTX570/6970 if you have more money to burn.
Power supply: This is a bit harder, but generally about 500/600w for 1 graphics card, 700/800w for 2 graphics cards. Decent power supply is a must, Corsair if you don't know what to look for, plenty of other good ones like Silverstone, Antec and Thermaltake.
Processor cooler: CM212+ for cheaps, you can have Swiftech Polaris for a bit more pricey, plenty of decent ones about. Check Frostytech for this.

Edit: for $1200 I think you can get a really powerful Sandy Bridge based cpu with plenty of bells and whistles like SSD etc.

I agree with the opinions mentioned above. Unless you specify what is the main purpose of your future computer, the configuration proposed by Fourstaff will do just fine.
Also, buy the parts individually and build them yourself, unless you don't really know how to. If that's the case, it's cheaper to buy all the parts separately and go to a store and have them build them for you, unlike buying and assembly directly at the store. Just say you want it build and nothing more, the operating system and software will be configured by you, because it's not that hard.
And don't OC until you know what you're doing.

if you cant buy item by item in your country. and you can build it by your own you could buy the whole things online or from 1 web store maybe you gonna have discount for it. then build it
but if you want a simple thing just let them build for you.

How's the weather down there?


Is it possible to get things shipped from the UAE or something? Surely there must be decent etailers in the neighborhood.

If you can find one that ships your way, I would definitely recommend buying all the parts at once from one supplier and building it yourself.

And unfortunately ibuypower doesn't ship to anywhere outside USA and Canada, even if they did the shipping cost WILL be very high (probably the cost of another good PC part).

I think the same as you to buying online from UAE, but I dont know any online UAE shop.


If I buy it from IBUYPOWER my friend will order it from USA and the ship will cost about 120$.

the weather down is end just a little rain..

maybe i will go to the UAE next week and i will search there and if i find the part there i will build by my self.
