Danish company Chill Innovation A/S has just announced what they call "The ultimate Media Keyboard on the Market". Behind these bold headlines lies a whole new media keyboard which not only support standard computers and HTPC (Home Theater PC) systems, but also Tablet PCs, PDAs and smartphones like iPad, iPhone, Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile and even Playstation-3, as well as all other devices with Bluetooth HID keyboard support.

Besides an impressive compatibility list, the new Chill KB-1BT Wireless Bluetooth Micro Keyboard does not exactly look like a traditional keyboard either. The compact size, which kind of makes you think of a regular TV remote, still holds both a fully functional 71 keys keyboard and an integrated touchpad for easy mouse navigation.

Turn off the light!
As a unique detail, the keyboard also comes with backlit keys for use in darkness. Furthermore, it is even equipped with a quite powerful integrated LED flashlight. Then it hardly gets much easier to operate and to locate your stuff when watching movies or during lectures in the dark.

The keyboard is also equipped with several multimedia keys for easy music and movie navigation. The Touchpad direction can even be rotated, so the keyboard can be held and operated with one hand like an ordinary remote.

For Personal and Business Use
All these features not only make this keyboard a perfect partner for Multimedia and Home Theater use, Emails, Surfing, Apps, Gaming etc., but also for Professional Applications and Presentations. As an option, the keyboard can be delivered with a Laser Pointer instead of the Flashlight.

The Chill KB-1BT Micro Keyboard comes with a small Nano USB Bluetooth Dongle with up to 10 meter range included. It is conveniently integrated into the keyboard for mobility and is only required for computers without built-in Bluetooth support in advance. The powerful High-Grade Li-Polymer battery contributes not only to the slim size, but also provides up to 30 days of operation.

The keyboard is currently available with Nordic (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland), UK and U.S. layout.

The only "innovation" here is the fact that it uses BT. You can get an nearly identical (wireless nano dongle instead of a BT dongle) keyboard off ebay for ~30$ right now. I have one of those, they're pretty neat, yes, but I fail to see the great "innovation" in this particular product.

Yeah, I was just going to say the Visiontek Candyboard, which is the same product rebranded.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqjgItzSRWU :D

The only "innovation" here is the fact that it uses BT.

Even that isn't an innovation, since the Rii keyboard/Candyboard comes in a BlueTooth variant already: VisionTek Candyboard Black 69 Normal Keys Bluetoot...

It seems to me the only innovation is dedicated PgUp and PgDn keys, but the candyboard had those functions, you just had to hold the fn key to access them first.

LOL nice video, i was looking for something like this for media.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1knbbmEj04&NR=1
Thats like a demonstration video by the same youtube user.

Yeah, he is an employee of NCIX, he does a lot of professional unboxings, and some less professional demonstrations, but I really like his videos. I especially like that, even though he works for NCIX, he isn't pimping them in every video constantly. He might mention them from time to time, but it doesn't get to the point that it is annoying like some places that do this(I'm looking at you Tigerdirect).:) And for products like this, that are rather unigue, he usually does a follow up demo video to the unboxing, if the interest in the product seems high enough or he just generally likes the product. He just seems like a geeky guy like most of us with way to much to play with(lucky bastartd). I like how some of his videos are literally "I saw this in the warehouse and it seemed cool, so I'm unboxing it".

Oh, and he gives at least one shout-out to TPU in atleast one of his videos.;)

Ive seen some of the tigerdirect videos, they really seem like they are selling you the product rather than like telling you about it. Yeah ive seen a few of the videos of the guy in the video you posted, just by chance though when looking for information. A lot of the time when i want to see something i just youtube it as well as getting reviews.
