Help locating an onboard sound driver for an old soyo board

A friend of mine needs the onboard audio working with his SY-6VCA motherboard because he wants this PC for amateur radio.

Thing is i can't access the SOYO site and everywhere else i find the download link (driver sites and such), they send me to the SOYO site, which i can't access

Any ideas?

Nope: same problem

It keeps sending me to the SOYO download site (direct link) but i can't make it work

Nice find, erocker. If that doesn't work out, try going to http://www.via.com.tw/en/support/drivers.jsp and select your OS, "Audio" and VIA AC'97. You may also want to pick up the "Retro VIA 4 in 1 drivers" from the VIA site as well, as your board as a VIA 694X northbridge as well as a VIA 686A southbridge. Hope this helps.

I always went to the VIA site for my audio drivers when I was younger and had KT266/400/600/K8T800 based boards, and it always worked even though many of the boards had Realtek codecs.

I had tried the VIA site already but didn't know the "VIA AC'97" part, which is why it didn't work. This time, i got 2 files: the 4in1 and the sound file.
