Noticed Dragon Age 2 was selling for $35.99 but I still decided to wait. I've read some nasty rumors about fake reviews and I was not at all impressed with the demo. I'll wait perhaps for it to be $20 or less with all the BS DLC. :twitch:

I've been doing the same thing for titles I'm waiting on to purchase. Borrowing it from someone first to see if I'd buy it or another method.

Here's a simple Flow Chart for if you will like Dragon Age 2 or not;

Did You Like Dragon Age 1?
If Yes -> You will hate Dragon Age 2.
If No -> Dragon Age 2 is probably for you.

So many exceptions to that rule.

Did you like DA:O on console
If Yes -> You will like DA2
If No -> You won't like DA2

Or you can like them both like I do, you just can't step into DAII expecting it to be like DA:O, they are completely different.

Got Beat Hazard Ultra

For just over $3 this Indie arcade game is so much fun. The idea is that you load in your favorite music and it alters the gameplay as you try to blast everything in sight. You are a spaceship and you fly around simply blasting away in an homage to old school arcade games. It has online play and tons of achievements. For the price you cannot go wrong. It is quite an acid trip of colors so those who might get siezures need not apply. I'm using my over 1000 videogame MP3 remixes and FLAC files. Hope todays sale has more gems. :toast:

Yeah Beat Hazard is good if you can take the flashing. I got my ticket out of it yesterday and just got my Nation Red ticket today (That ones a doosey, but this games pretty fun).

Bioware is making a habit out of trashing sequels. They did the same to ME2. It's like they got some cognitive dyslexia going on or something. They seriously need to put people in charge that know it's not wise to disenfranchise your user base.

DA:O was at least worth beating twice, DA2 wasn't.

I'm contemplating getting L4D2 or Killing Floor. I like mindless violence so I'm thinking I'll probably go with Killing Floor. What do you guys think?

You can't go wrong with L4D2, but at the same time I've never played Killing Floor, so I can't compare the 2. Many diehards think L4D1 is a lot better than it's sequel, but that's debateable.

It's just that sort of diehard community that makes me think that L4D2 might not be for me. I like games where the most serious player is named, "sir_poopsalot". :laugh:

It starts slow because it is very story driven and stories take explaining. ME2, the story was: "OMG, Collectors! Go blow up the mothership!" We already did that in ME. WTF!?!

And the combat, well, they dumbed it down so a two year old can manage: cover and shoot, cover and shoot, cover and shoot. It's not even remotely difficult except on the very hardest difficulty where there's a few unit types (Harbinger enhanced and the big mechs) that you can't manage to kill before they flank you.

So, the plot is boring and the combat is dull and repetitive, what does that leave? An empty "husk," looking for a master (Reaper) that is no where to be found.

Picked up Fallout 3 and The Last Remnant

Totally worth $10 each!!!!! Especially Fallout 3 but since there are not a lot of games like The Last Remnant on PC I decided to give the Square Enix JRPG a chance. :toast:

Yea, i have loads of problems where i am with steam all the time that i rarely use it, however some of these deals are too good to resist, even though i already have a fair few that i have played but didn't purchase, i bought them off steam this time around anyway. :toast:
